Just to be clear, I have nothing against commerce at all ... it is what drives a free market and is one of the lynchpins of our Republic ... I just believe we need to be extremely careful when it comes to funding our own enemies.
Just my opinion and I am upfront about it being one of the central messages of the entire series.
IMHO the kind of "engagement" we need with Red China is they type Reagan applied to the Soviet bloc in the eighties.
FRegards.

Drudge calls print media "the legacy media", horse buggies being swept aside in the internet era.
Now I am thinking more and more of conventional NY publishing houses as "the legacy publishing industry", being swept aside by custom fit and marketed self publishers using the power of the net.
To: Travis McGee
That may end up being true ... but still, hitting the stands in the tens of thousands of Waldenbook's and B. Dalton's in all of the malls across the country is the quickest avenue to large volume sales.
We may see that change over the next few years ... and it is in the process now ... but the potential numbers through brick and mortar sales are still the highest.
Personally, I am willing to take whatever exposure for the series that I can honorably conjure up through persistance, hard work and commitment to getting it out. From there, I figure it is in the good Lord's hands.

Sure, the potential is still greatest through conventional publishing and distribution, IF you are one of the lucky few to crack the NY PC monopoly.

Pretty big "if" for sure. That's why I will just keep writing and being persistent and leave it in the good Lord's hands after that.
Plenty of folks are seeing it and reading it ... if I remain persistenet, and if the good Lord is willing, I figure it will get in the hands of someone who can make a go of it if it is supposed to. Otherwise, I will be happy with whatever exposure it gets.

FYI, in case you were not aware, here is a review of my first volume of five part series that is available on Amazon.
One of the purposes of the book is to convey good, Christian, faith-based messages, along with Constitutional messages couched in an exciting techno-thriller.
Thought you might be interested.
To: Dukie
Thanks Chris. It was a really good review and I believe it is helping the overall exposure of the book and its messages.
Let's hope it continues.
To: Jeff Head
I am impressed Jeff..are they doctrinal at all?
To: RnMomof7
I believe you would consider the messages "doctrinal". They are relatively straight forward messages about how faith in God and a willingness to listen to His spirits whisperings lead individuals ... and nations to do good and to be blessed by Him ... ala 2 Chron 7:14.
Not "in your face" but an underlying theme presented in a story that pits other persuasions (Fundsamental Islamics and atheistic Communists) against it.
At its heart it is a techno-thriller about World War III ... but the series (five books of which number two is about to be released) will touch on most social and moral issues as back drops and sub-plots to the story line.
It's an attempt to do in reverse what amoral and immoral people have done for a long time ... couch a message in an intriguing and exciting story line so people read the story and pick up on the message in the process. Except in this instance, the messages are faith based, moral and constitutional.

Hey, that's great! The books look really exciting, and I can't wait to see if we win!
Here's wishing you all the success in the world, Mr. Head. Keep up the good work!
