Truth is he thinks everyone on FR is a nutbag.That's a negative. He is aware that there are many level headed FReepers. He does identify FR more with the fringe though. In my email exchange with him, from the infamous "Typical Freeper" incident, he sent me some quotes from emails he got from FReepers. He said that FReepers are the most often to email him with the "Never will I listen to you again!" type complaints.

Rush actually knows and respects the power of Free Republic. He mentions us because he knows we're out there listening to him, and making up a sizable percentage of his audience. If he he had no respect for Free Republic or disliked us, he would treat us like irrelevancies - and not mention us at all.

Truth is he thinks everyone on FR is a nutbag.No. He understands the difference between "Bush-bots" and people who are able to think for themselves. Free Republic means just that. The freedom to support or criticize, the right of the individual to think for themselves and not succumb to the sheeple mentality just to toe the line with what everyone else thinks (or is told). I've been listening for years. I've never heard him say any such thing. Can you give us one example where he has actually stated FReepers are all nutbags on the air?
