I let Agent Q's bizarro remarks alone for a week, wondering whether he had lost his mind. His comments are nothing more than propaganda, similar to techniques used by liberals who latch on to some misconstrued issue and then chew on it like pit bulls.

What is interesting to note is that Quid said he no longer listens to Rush. Yet, he feels comfortable criticizing him for 'trashing' President Bush. Q would not know then, that Rush dedicated some time on today's show to callers who did nothing but praise Bush. They talked about President Bush's dignity, courage, integrity-his ability to convey a sense of trust and strength, and faith in the United States, and his ability to lead. It was inspiring, and refreshing to hear positive remarks about our president. Rush seemed delighted to provide the airtime. It didn't sound like he was 'trashing' President Bush.

Quid's "kindler, gentler" comment made me laugh, though. As IF nobody would recognize that he is the same ass he always was. ;)

GWB, for all intents and purposes, is pulling a Jim Jeffords on the whole GOP.

If you will think about it,the truth is he is coming closer to pulling a "Bubba-1". Bubba-1 took the Dim party and DNC with him,and Bubba-2 is doing the same thing with the Rep Party and he RNC.

In other words,"we ain't left Bush and the Republicans,THEY left US!".

A year ago, the 'bots were attacking anyone who criticized Rush. There were threads almost daily criticizing Rush and the rabidly partisan were forming a human shield around Rush. Now that Rush has dared to criticize their deified politician, they claim not to even listen to him anymore.

You can't believe what a bushbot says and you should doubt half of what you see them do. ;-)

What exactly IS a Bushbot? I might be one, but without a diagnosis I can't be sure. Are you a doctor? If not, can you play one on the Internet?

A bushbot is someone whose defense of Bush is robotic. Any criticism of Bush brings them boiling out of the woodwork with inane comments like those you've seen on this thread. A Bushbot is exactly like a Clintonoid. In fact, I suspect that most of them are simply Clintonoid retreads who have seized on Bush now that their idol is less often seen on TV.

I don't know whether you're a 'bot or not. Not all Bush supporters are 'bots, you know. You'll have to do a self diagnosis. ;-)

This is very important groundwork for Rush to lay down now. There are lots of hard-core "principled" conservatives who are IRATE that Bush is compromising with the DemocRATS, and don't understand his political strategy for doing it. Many of those people are in Rush's audience.

Well, said, Marchett-PI. I agree whole heartedly with the entirety of you post. However, I would change one important word in the 2nd sentence in the above blockquote. For the phrase "hard-core 'principled' conservatives, I would substitute "hard-core Republican supporters" to make your statement even more accurate.

Though Rush articulates this difference much clearer than I am able to, it lies between a party affiliation and a core belief system permeating the structure of one's life, conservativism. Here in NJ, we *know* that it is quite possible and, indeed, happens with alarming regularity on a national scale, that one can be a Republican, but NOT a conservative I am not, however, implying this of Bush, merely making not that there are issues from which deviates from conservative principles.

Consistency is very important. I do have a problem with altering one's agenda to meet short-term political goals(or so it would appear, for I am not in a position to judge definitively Bush's end game plan ), some tow the party line regardless. When someone asks you your party affiliation, what's your response? Rush is a reflection of many of his listeners out there who would respond, "I am a conservative", me being one of them. There are those who I'm not sure truely understand the need for these ideological checks and balances that anchor our elected party officials to the principles upon which they were elected. This stance should not be considered dissentious and, more importantly, needs to be recognized for what it is by the conservative majority in the US:

A stand for conservativism and the constitution, withstanding the political pressures to move away from our conservative thinking.

One parting comment to RINOs nation-wide: GET RIGHT OR GET OUT!

I know, I know. Maha Rushie says it so well. But, still, I've taken my Truth Decay medication today and am felling much better.

God Bless America and President Bush
