Until people get the point I am making, I will keep using those analogies and comments.
Did you think I was going to run off like some crybaby DU punk?

He mentions us because he knows we're out there listening to him, and making up a sizable percentage of his audience.
Would you know what that "sizeable percentage of his audience" would be? Have any guess or data?

Dear Rush,
You're an ass.
Signed, an American.
The above statement is strictly my own and does not reflect the beliefs of the owners of this website
To: TigerTale
I don't doubt that.

Tell me, if your guy loses the Republican primary, do you run off to a third party? No, I simply won't vote for the unacceptable nominee. In my district the RINO we're going after now is Rep. Jim Kolbe - the only openly gay Republican in Congress and a RINO poster boy. I refuse to vote for him - I didn't vote for him the last time around and won't ever vote for him. He should have been kicked out of the Republican Party or at least not endorsed by the state Party.
If my guy loses in the Primary Election (he might - he's up against a firmly entrenched RINO with a $1.6million warchest) then I'll go to the polls on General Election day and simply not vote for that office.

Rush has lost me permanently IOW, the same policies that you argue should apply to Pres. Bush (a couple issues shouldn't cloud our overall philosophical agreement with him), should not apply to Rush?
To: Howlin
I knew I didn't want to know. And I thought all we had to worry about in the water was sharks!
Consider the killer whale... a lonely Shamu...

Far right wingers, embittered by their losses in the primaries, are actively working against him. I am not a fan of the "far right wingers" label. It is a lefty term. But if you mean Buchananites, I would agree to a point. Many of them, contrary to their nature, tried to support Bush. Beyond that, I don't agree with that statement at all. I would agree with the rest of it.
If Bush is smart to play to his enemies then wouldn't his supporters be smart to do the same? I mean, why aid the division among conservatives by being overly critical. Let people complain about the betrayals (even if you don't think they're betrayals). They will be the very people you will need come election day.
There is no way on earch I will not do everything I can to get a Republican majority in Congress.
I never felt betrayed by Reagan. Like I said before, I didn't feel betrayed by GHWB either. I really can overlook some things. I just worked so hard for GWB and I do feel betrayed. I will still do what I have to for the bigger picture. So will Rush and the rest, I am sure. We may not all define it the same but we do have the same goals, don't forget.

When he deserves it, of course, is your opinion, right? Did I miss something, were you voted some sort of special duty? No - were you voted the special duty of pointing out that just about everything anyone posts on Free Republic is their opinion? Your opinion is that he doesn't deserve criticism and my opinion is that he does deserve it. Are you done?

I guess this wouldn't be the appropriate time to invite fellow freepers to check out the ADITL threads. :)
FWIW, I read your posts, agree with many of them, and respect your opinions. President Bush will never be able to satisfy everyone and I expect a fair or reasonable amount of grumbling. I just wish folks would put themselves in his shoes for a moment. He is fighting a war on terror; attempting to correct the military and national security mess that was dropped in his lap; facing a weakening ecomony; and dealing with a obstructional congress, Clinton hold-overs, and a vacancy-laden judiciary. To top it all off, the man in a workhorse. He has accomplished an incredible amount in spite of these obstacles.
God bless President Bush.

In years past, Rush has gleefully reported on incidences of male dolphins becoming "excited", while swimming around humans-possibly they pick up hormonal changes in the female swimmers. The male dolphins-who can be quite large, become aggressive and have injured male and female swimmers. Why Rush thinks this is funny-I have no idea.If you have ever gone to a venue where you swim with the dolphins or dive in waters where there are sharks-there are specific warnings addressed to females for safety reasons. As a former Rush listener, I caught a few minutes of his show yesterday and he must have been taking a breather from his daily assaults on Bush, as he was again guffawing about some area that was warning swimmers about aggressive dolphin behavior.Guess there was no toe fungus news, yesterday.

I think it was #141 that brought it on. You know, the part about telling MM to get lost. I thought maybe you might have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed today....

Nahhh... After your big "I'm warning you, I WILL hit abuse" bluff got called the other day, I figured you'd continue posting repetitious and impertinent obscurantisms in which to couch your strategic timidity.
To: Spiff
So, your guys loses, you don't even vote. No wonder there are some Republicans who are not willing to make up for your "non-vote" elsewhere in the electorate. They can't count on yours in November.
In my opinion, when it comes right down to it, you're doing the same thing that John Warner did to Ollie North in 1994 and what Donnie DiFrancesco did to Bret Schunder last year. They handed offices to the Dems because their guys didn't win the primary, either.
You condemn the RINOs, but you act like them.
