I didn't refer to Northerners or non-southerners as a group, you dope because I have quite a few relatives living outside the south, but rather south bashing, arrogant, despicable individuals hailing generally from, but not limited to, the northern US I refer to as "Yankees" (which originally meant only New Englanders). Especially the loathsome, annoying, intrusive and interloping variety called carpetbaggers. That you live up north and are not contemplating living here automatically exempts you to an extent. Maybe you can convince the rest of your brethren to do likewise.

You might want to be very careful where you're treading here. There are some fine FReepers with darker-than-average skin tone who might conclude that--true to "Confederate" heritage--you "neo-Confederates" really ARE racists.
