June 4, 2003 -- BILE-spewing filmmaker Vincent Gallo is still throwing bombs at famed movie critic Roger Ebert. PAGE SIX readers will recall that Gallo called Ebert a "fat pig" and put a curse on his colon after the reviewer wrote about his critically lambasted "Brown Bunny," and Ebert responded by telling us he's lost 30 pounds and suggested Gallo gain 30 IQ points. Yesterday, the "Buffalo 66" actor/director called us to deliver this pleasant message: "You tell that hamhock Roger Ebert he could lose 30 pounds a day for the next four years and still be fat. As for the curse on his colon, what I actually said was that I put an unremovable black magic curse on his prostate, which will enlarge into a large cancerous ball by the fall. . . . I want to challenge that fat cow to an IQ test. I bet him $1 million dollars to take a public IQ test against me. By the way, tell him I also put a curse on [Gene] Siskel [Ebert's partner on TV's "Siskel and Ebert," who died of complications from a brain tumor in 1999]." When told of Gallo's latest outburst, Ebert replied: "I wish Mr. Gallo a speedy recovery."
no, he did not. here is a very good story on him and his life post-kick.
fyi, i'm not a bills fan, per se. i just always thought blaming norwood for the loss, while understandable, was unfair.
I love his Buffalo 66 — with a cameo by Jan Michael Vincent playing a bowling alley manager-—over the top-—Gallo’s website is so cool.
I just stumbled onto this thread as a result of a google search. It deserves a bump.
for home
HOLY CRAP!!!
So I’m sitting here with my girlfriend, we just finished watching The Brown Bunny and we were looking up some stuff about Vincent Gallo on IMDB.
I have known about Gallo since my friend introduced me to Buffalo ‘66 years back but I always assumed a guy like Vincent Gallo would be a total lib.
I loved Buffallo 66 and I always introduce it to new girlfriends...almost as a rite of passage...just like I give every new girlfriend a copy of The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
Anyways. So after seeing my 2nd (real) Gallo movie I was randomly searching for more things Gallo had done and ran across this article... I never thought I would see Vincent Gallo ever mentioned on Free Republic..and to find out he is a RIGHT WINGER!?!?
Weird... weird weird...but awesome. I’m so happy that I know this now.
woot woot
