Take a look at this:

I bet Rush's "inside source" at the White house LOVES this.

If someone from the WH talked to limbaugh, my money would be on Rove! If that is the case, I would expect limbaugh got his head handed to him in a nice way (well maybe not so nice)! That picture of Pres Bush morphing into Gore I am sure has made the rounds of the WH and would think it and limbaugh are not on the top of their popularity list.

Note to limbaugh: This President NEVER forgets!

You are no intelligent enough to speak on this subject. So go fly a kite.

You do not understand the first thing about power, influence, etc. And that is why you are still a low level EMPLYEE wishing you would make it big.

That is, of course, the reason, but I was explaining the Bush's statement (that Rush was picking on) about oil drilling spoiling the environment.

We are all a team Rush, Free Republic.com, Drudge, Cornell Review, Ann Coulter, David Horowitz and so many more it would take the whole page to name.

There is a difference. Florida doesn't want drilling because it could affect their tourism if there was a problem and the people that have property along the coast could be directly affected, whereas Alaska has nobody living in ANWR and it creates jobs for them and if there were a problem it wouldn't affect their economy. It's simple one state doesn't want it and the other does.

I agree with you! Rush tried to make it sound like "his contacts" at the WH confirmed such and such. I bet it didn't go quite like that.

All you choosing to berate Rush LImbaugh remember one thing:

He's done more for Conservatism than W ever has.
(That little dot after the word "has" is a period, it means 'end of discussion')

Didn't anybody ever tell you it's better to LET people think you're dumb rather than say something to prove it?

however

.

Now what are we trying to do?

Stop the left, demorats and commies from taking over this country. Stop the culture of filth from over running everything that is good.

Think about 2 things and they are November and the election. That is all that should be on everyones mind. We are down to the wire in this election and the rats are eating this fighting up here at FR. They say the right will sit it out because they are at each others throat.

I had seen that and I wasn't pleased. It obviously went too far and again I think that may have been the final straw to get a reaction from the White House.

Conservatives are wasting their time hoping against hope that Bush isn't a wishy-washy, touchy-feely, Rockafeller liberal Republican that only pays lip service to conservatives and their cherished ideologies. In short, Bush cannot be salvaged or "turned" because he isn't what you want him to be. We are faced with yet another situation in which the "supposed" conservative leadership is anything but.

I am totally focused on November, which is why Rush's rant yesterday was so disappointing. This report was a straw man which Bush's team allowed to be released so it could be "dissed". At the end of the day, the lines on the environment had been clearly drawn and Bush had made his point. It would have happened with or without Rush.

There was a day when I enjoyed his commentary and wit. That was, however, before Free Republic and other conservative venues. I find posters on Free Republic to be infinitely more knowledgable and funny that Limbaugh could ever hope to be.

Frankly his schtick has grown old for me.

If Bush is wishy washy and a Rockafeller Republican then Reagan was too. I see little difference between what Bush has done and what Reagan did.

I have had enough of bureaucracies that run 'on their own.' The ATF, IRS, INS, FBI, CIA, and DEA are creatures of the executive branch. If government policy isn't effected by who sits in the Oval Office, who is in charge? Al Haig?

Have you ever been in charge of anything bigger than the midnight shift at a fast food joint? It is frustrating as Hell to be sitting in the corner office, watching entire divisions of your company wander off the reservation again and again. But you know what? It happens anyway. What's worse, half the time the people doing this stuff think they're helping. And in the federal government, you can't even fire the jerks.

This stuff happens everywhere, and all the time. There is no such thing as micro-managing an organization with three million employees. You can't even do it with two hundred. There's always some bastard out there whose motto is to seek forgiveness instead of permission, and the worst thing is, he's the only one getting anything done.
