OK, how about you running all over the field, without let-up, no time outs, no commercial breaks, no time to spit out your chew.

Makes baseball players look like out of condition Dunkin Donut Cops; makes "American football" players look like panting pansies after running a twenty yard play.

Soccer players are incredible endurance athletes. Try it some time!

That's interesting -- every time I watch a soccer game, I only see one or two players on each team running at any given time. The rest of them are standing in place or walking slowly.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of watching running. The score's 1-0, but there's LOTS of running. I don't like watching track on T.V., so why would I want to watch track on a grass field?

Bwhahaahahh. Right. In an endurance contest, I'll take 100 defensive backs over 100 soccer players anyday of the week. Not only can we run fast, we can also take a HIT instead of bawling after some weak slide tackle. Owwwwwwwwww. Reffffff Call a penalty. I'm hurt...wahhhhhhhh. ROFL.

Ok here is the answer to all you soccer fans. Strategy soccer = none. Kick the ball. There is no unexpected results. There are few mistakes. Its about running nowhere and kicking a ball. The other team has the ball run the other way. If your team has the ball run toward the opponents goal. Pentalies are caused by trying to cheat! They are 90% intentional, most result in no advantage to the victim.

No other sport can you say that pentalies are not to the benefit of the victim. Baseball: if you hit the ball as a runner you are out. If you block a player from running he is safe.Football USA:The other teams gets Yards or downs as pentalies. Hockey is the best with making the bad boy sit in a box and your team is short a player, YIKES. Basketball: you will be given the ball.

Soccer is not a good team sport. It lacks structure. you are placed on a field in position but that where it ends. Start running after the kickoff. Anyone can kick the ball anywhere on the field. The rest is history.

Some time in the not too distant past they put a milage meter on an English Soccer player during a game. He clocked 19 miles in two 45 min. halves. I'd like to see any basket ball or football player do that and still be standing at the end of the game. No telling what the milage would be if you had two 10 min. overtimes and a kick off.

So are marathon runners but no one wants to watch the entire race live.
