Yawn. The typical sophomoric reply when someone joins.

Be colored skectial then. That is your problem not mine.

I joined because of Jim Rob's invite on the front page and decided it was time.

I didn't know JR had event prerequisites for deciding when a person is to join the form.(sarcasm)

How about we save band width and dispense with the obligatory "My opinion means more than yours" because your were a member before I was. As if being a member before another person joins some how insures intelligence and a valid opinion in some way.

Actually Jorge, to be accurate, this disappointment in President Bush has been going on long before yesterday

Are you laughing? I'm laughing. :-)

It's a bad move, agreed. But I thinnk it's more a holdover report from the Clinton years as opposed to a policy reversal by Dubya. Furthermore, I think he's scared about this. He's pulled a couple of boners lately that can't be justified and I think his terse response represents his level of concern on how this is viewed by conservatives at large. Especially after the (unwelcome, I am sure) publicity from Rush.

This is so totally opposed to the Koyoto pullout, urging to open ANWR (but not the gulf. Imagine that?) and his comments about not wanting to send us into an economic spiral by buying into left wing enviro-kook stuff I can't believe he's going to endorce this. If he comes out and endorces this as anything but a blunder or incomplete science I will agree it's a flip-flop and a major, major blunder instead of a small one with mitigating circumstances attached to it.

Why we are sending reports & research to the UN in the first place is in and of itself an issue. (because, personally.. I don't think FEDGOV could do a report on what color is blue without it costing us at least 15 million bucks.)

Also, in your list of all things UnConstitutional you missed the Brady Bill. That's quite an oversight.

Don't forget that one..

"YOUR brand of "conservative" constitutes about 5% of his so-called base. You are getting the full 5% in support from him. Which is far more than I would give you."

I believe Bush beat Gore in Florida by 500 some odd votes, and here you are mocking 5% of his base.

Should Bush continue his flip flops, I urge that 5% to sit on their hands in '04...

It was UnConstitutional. He ranted about "Constructionist" Judges who would strictly interpret the Constitution. Something both Dubya and Congress forgot when passing CFR.

Now, thanks to being screwed by both the executive and Legislative branches of Government the NRA has to spend it's donations on a court battle to TRY to unscrew this embarrassment that passed with zero fanfare for purely political purposes.

Now that WAS a major No-No and a flip-flop on behalf of Dubya and company. (the only one who can hold his head up in that deal is Dick Armey.. At least he tried to defend the First Amendment and uphold the oath he swore.)

You know ... Bush can't lose with the flipflop back to his position during the campaign. The hot air expended in defending this is, in and of itself, enough to melt a polar ice cap.

Your dodging the original issue. The EPA Report was a 180, the NYT correctly reported it, Rush was right ripping Bush for it, Bush was right in dimissing the EPA Report....

You contend that the EPA Report has some truth, and that the NYT and Drudge blew it out of proportion, and that Rush just followed suit.

Yeah, I'll stand by what I said. We can agree to disagree. See also Mickey Kaus.

"Yeah yeah. GO Pat GO!"

We did go and Pat took 3,400 votes in Palm Beach.

Considering your dismissive attitude to some of us conservatives, I'll be working double OT to make that number grow to 3,950.

If we can reach that lofty goal, Dubya will join his daddy in premature retirement.

I ran a thread yesterday giving all a chance to list their "perfect candidate" after about 500 posts a list of 14 names was created. Each candidate got from 1-4 votes each except for "let the Dems have it". That got 9 or 10. Yeah we have some real THINKERS on this site.

"We did go and Pat took 3,400 votes in Palm Beach."

That's only because Democrats can't read butterfly ballots and thought his "hole" actually belonged to Gore.

Hey, don't laugh..

As it is we should all be sending Ralph Nader Christmas cards.

It's easy to forget the landscape pre-9/11. From what I remember it looked pretty bleak.
