I neither said, nor implied that. Rush has every right to say whatever he wants, no matter how dumb, which is obviously what has decided to do.
Criticizing the President and his policies is perfectly fine. Saying he is the same as algore is stupid. Rush has lost it, and his audience is shrinking by the day now. He's free to say whatever he wants, but this is a capitalistic country, my friend. If consumers don't like what he has to say, they won't listen, and he'll lose profits.
If he's smart, he'll stop what he's doing, because we 'consumers' know better than to believe the tripe he's been dishing out lately.
What you don't understand is that controversy and no holds barred commentary in general sells much more readily than bland commentary. This is proven time and again in media ratings. If anything, Rush's ratings should rise as he proves that he is not just another shill for this administration. And it's natural that most people want to hear independent opinions, not biased defensive talk that is tied to personalities not ideas.
Then why worry? The free market will determine his fate.
By the way he is smart, and I bet he will have a show
for a longer period than Bush will be president.
