Most of us feel that President Bush is telling us the truth. The rest of you will never feel that way. You see as our problem, and we see it as your problem.

When so called conservatives jump into bed with the left wing maggots of the NY Slimes and quote their opeds as factual, they have lost all reality with me!

I am guessing you speak for yourself or primarily bushbots in general on this issue. I would agree that bush is light years ahead of you know who...

But consider: if he signed cfr that he did not supposedly agree with... and signed off on issuing this report, that he does not agree with... and tells Israel to "get out now" when he really means "go to it IDF..." then he is developing a really nasty habit of authenticating what he believes or knows to lies and distortion. That is NOT a good thing. Though at times it may be necessary, I suppose.

We had that in a president last time. I had hoped we had put it behind us for good. I did not want any more clintonizing of reality for political purposes. I thought this election we were getting the guy who said.. "I am comfortable in my OWN skin... I don't have to check which way the wind blows to see who I am every day..." and such.

If he is authenticating lies and positions he disagrees with, he is certainly doing what he said he would not. If he agrees with these laws (CFR) and actually supports the findings of these reports (EPA), we are even worse off than if he is lying. Our leader should not be basing his national policy decisions on lies and deceptions.

I lean towards his being politically disingenuous. Seems like the disingenuous "read my lips" and "no new taxes" syndrome is creeping up on him pretty severely right now.

That is not to mention the "for us or against us" invitations to the murderers ("we will make no distinction between terrorists and the nations that support them") of 9-11 fame, the saudi leadership, to crawford for barbeque!

You may not like extreme right wing folks, but bush could never have gotten elected without US. He HAS been a sellout recently dave. He can do better and he should.

I AM disappointed.

I am further disappointed in the number of Freepers who are not. What's it gonna take? Another skyscraper or worse?

Well, I'm not sure about "the rest of you", but I know I didn't make my decision about Bush based on one article from the NYT, much less jump in bed with them, as you seem insistent on believing. I don't know if it makes it easier to dismiss an entire group by believing they all have horns and mate with monkeys or whatever drivel is thrown out, but that seems to be a consistent practice on FR (from this relative newcomer's perspective).

I have not supported Bush for President since the idea first hit the media. It had nothing to DO with some recent article. I have judged him off what he has said and does; there is no preconceived prejudice because he is who he is. It's not that I don't believe he's telling the truth; my frustration is with what he actually says! I didn't know the first thing about the man until he began running in the primaries.

I'm not a Libertarian and never will be. I'm a Christian, conservative, Air Force captain who happens to be black (hence my alias). I'm simply someone who has been and will always be, unhappy with needless compromise. I have a tremendous admiration for men of principle and passion (ala Bibbi Netanyahu).

If that makes me some kind of outcast on this website, I welcome the label.
