I don't see the jist of "...the study repeatedly states that the connection is not verifiable and that much of the rise in temperature may be completely natural..." being reported much, if indeed it is the pull line from the Bush Report. What I've seen is that the report accepts American-caused Global Warming as a reality when I've seen much evidence to the contrary...once you cede that point, the Left is halfway towards a big legislative win!!

I wonder if this move to the Left on Global Warming is a compromise to placate the Europeans in exchange for help on the War on Terrorism...I fear Dubyuh earned so many brownie points for his admirable response to that horrific event that he thinks we on the Right will accept anything else he does and still enthusiastically support his Left-appeasing Agenda. Evidence is also emerging that black carbon contains aerosols ,(soot) which are formed by incomplete combustion, may be a significant contributor to global warming, although their relative importance is difficult to quantify at this point. These aerosols have significant negative health impacts,particularity in developing countries.
While current analyses are unable to predict with confidence the timing, magnitude, or regional distribution of climate change,the best scientific information indicates that if greeenhouse concentrations continue to increase, changes are likely to occur. The U.S. National Resarch Council has cautioned, however, that "because there is considerable uncertainty in current understanding of how the climate system varies naturally and reaacts to emissions of greenhouse gases and aerosols, current estimates of the magnitude of future warnings should be regarded as tentative and subject to future adjustments(either upwards or downwards)." Moreover, there is perhaps even greater uncertainty the social, environmental, and economic consequences of changes in climate.
