It's concievable that our reaction would have been even stronger had a thousand Jews died in 9/11. Israeli pressure would be even stronger, and there would have been no keeping them on the side lines.

It's concievable that our reaction would have been even stronger had a thousand Jews died in 9/11. Israeli pressure would be even stronger, and there would have been no keeping them on the side lines. And that would have been a bad thing (Israel in the fight?) I think we would have been further along in our war on terrorism if Israel had been an active ally. Our policy of keeping them sidlined has been unproductive for both of us IMHO.
