Although this looks innocent at first glance, the thought of Bill Gates and needles together makes me queasy ever since his apparent stealth sterilization campaign a few years ago.

Why doesn't this liberal refund consumers burdened with his the bloated and overpriced software? Indirect taxation to fund nefarious schemes. If he has all this money to give, then return it back to the consumer not liberal parasites. To make it even worse, it is to the commie Chinese. What about those idiots howling for reparations? Its time to repeal the INS tax code where no tax breaks should be provided for government (IRS) bribed charities/non-profits - these are simply tax shelters for these phonies

Nothing is more conservative than someone being able to spend his money how he wishes without interference.

How Gates acquired that wealth might be worth looking into. For one take on Microsoft's accounting practices, check out this link:

You don't give money/aid to people who want to destroy your country. This is the commie Chinese's ultimate goal. Being conservative doesn't mean being free to give money to your enemies like a blinkered idiot. Don't feed the parasite.

I wonder how many more missiles, nuclear weapons & the like he just purchased? China cares about its babies as much as Clinton cared about the Integrity of the Presidency.

Like him or not, Bill Gates is directly or indirectly responsible for the creation of more wealth than probably any other man in history. His business practices may not agree with you, yet they have created more businesses and mutli-millionares than any one ever imagined. Even his top competitor in wealth accumulation (Oracle) is where he is because Bill took the ball and ran with it.

I don't care for his business practices, I don't like having to buy his software every year just to stay on an even keel with the business world, but I have to give him credit where it is due.

Or has Microsoft disguised poor performance with dubious accounting practices?

Are you a communist?

I approve of Bill Gates capitalistic success in this country. Only jealous liberals demand that the wealthy return their money to the general population. Its his money to do with as he pleases.

I really don't care how it was done. His company produced a product that allowed other people to market other products and ideas that had never been thought of. While we may not approve of his business practices, there are many other companies not related to MS that have clean spotless records, yet without MS they would have never seen the light of day. I am not trying to say that Bill is the Saviour of business, but he sure as heck was (is) a major catalyst.

Vaccine Fund's gift will be used to help immunize 35 million infants

More likely the money will be used to pay for forced abortions.

The Computer Revolution has been running on its own steam, not Bill Gates. The real advances have been in computer hardware which basically has progressed exponentially. Look at the changes in hardware and software in particular since 1995. The software has had to keep up with hardware advances. But is there much difference in the appearance and function of the basic needs by the public of the OS? Very little actually. Win98 still works fine. Further, many of the software initially were distributed free by its creators and improved upon by others. Gates was in the right place at the right time but if not him somebody else would have done it,so there is nothing unique about him. He did the right things in marketing, eventually acquiring and integrating other companies software. There were others who were more creative and had better products but were shortsighted in marketing. Example is Apple which actually had many of the features years before Win95.

Advances in hardware lowered prices and made computers affordable and accessible to the public. What was once the domain of design engineers and research labs with mainframes which corporations could only afford was now available to the public whose basic needs still are games, word processing,e-mail, and of course now the internet. Good for Gates for cornering the market but the software improvements since 1995 do not warrant the totalitarian one-world approach and overpricing- a liberal trait. It is interesting to see that competition in computer hardware has actually created accelerated innovation and drastic price drops. But not so in software. Has there any such drastic innovation with Gate's bloated software to warrant the overpricing or forced changes. Fine in what he wants to do with his excess money in his own country but not when giving it to foreign enemies. To defund liberals and big government, abolish tax-exemptions.
