Ok this is not a joke..what's the difference between "intelligence" and a "specific threat".. Reports and observation?

Intelligence is information gleaned from communications traffic interception (newspapers, radio broadcasts, cell phone conversations, etc.), discarded spent munitions discovered lying near military installations (Saudi Arabia) or actual observation via satellites.

A threat is, well, a threat.

I don't know the answer to your question. But I do know I am wearing weary of the cable news alerts. Yesterday, I immediately stopped what I was doing because an (Alert) was announced on Fox News. When all was said and done, the alert was that Dianna Ross had checked herself into some rehabilitation spa.

I propose that we color code our (Alerts). What do you think?
