While business leaders argue that such bans hurt business, How can it be bad for business if you can't smoke in any bar? It's not your customers will be able to go to a smoking bar.

I know "we" don't spend our money in a no smoking place restaurant. We take our money to the bar that serves food.

That could be true, but how many of the smokers will get together and get smashed at someones house instead?

Smokers want to smoke with their drink...it's that simple. They'll go to a place where they can do exactly that...even if that means home.

How can it be bad for business if you can't smoke in any bar? People will stay home and drink or go to private clubs where they can smoke all they want.
Smoking in a bar is between the owners and the customers.

What these laws end up creating is a nice situation for politicians and cops to make extra pocket change. There are plenty of them that are more than willing to accept money out here to keep quiet and look the other way at bars and clubs that refuse to comply with the no smoking laws.
