I expect they would already have used them if they had them, huh?

May I be the first to discount this report, as all evidence shows that exploding fuel tanks are more likely than AA missule strikes.... </sarcasm>

But no one thinks of that in connection with TWA 800, or that AA crash into Astoria a few months ago.

Nah. No one at all....

The United States supplied shoulder-launched missiles to anti-Soviet Afghan guerrillas in the 1980s. Afghanistan's new interim government has handed dozens of U.S. Stinger missiles back to Washington to try to keep them out of the wrong hands.

I *think* those things have a highly sophisticated battery pack with a limited life span... not sure about that, but I seem to recall hearing that unless the goat-ropers had a source for the batteries (such as from one of Bill Clinton's Treason contractor oops excuse me Defense Contractor friends), the Stinger would be useless by now...

but maybe not...

The FBI has warned law enforcement agencies that al Qaeda may possess shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles...

Afghanistan rebels' weapon of choice was the shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missile, right? This is no surprise.

I drive near airports regularly, and if I see someone shouldering an anti-aircraft missile gun near them, they're gonna be greeting the bugs on my bumper REAL QUICK.

Against Israel anyway. I was surprised the Palestinians had nothing against the tanks.

(such as from one of Bill Clinton's Treason contractor oops excuse me Defense Contractor friends), Didn't our forces find some soviet AAA missiles in a cave in Afghanistan?

blam! You have a great memory!!

Al-Qaeda got anti-aircraft missiles from Bill Clinton's allies the Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army.

From an article dated November 22, 2001: Al Qaeda trained terrorists for Kashmir: Documents (got anti-aircraft rockets from Albanians - more) One Arabic language article describes how in 1999 bin Laden received Russian anti-aircraft rockets from Bulgaria and how the rockets were smuggled through Pakistan with the help from 'Albanian separatists who are fighting in southern Serbia'.

Everybody remember, the Saudis are our friends! No matter what is uncovered in Saudi Arabia, they are our friends!!!

I'm surprised the FBI hasn't released a warning that the Al-Qaeda may have access to automatic weapons.
