And, just because the cops didn't find the ring "among the remains" doesn't mean it isn't in the area. With the decomposition of the body and the likelihood that small animals may have carried off parts of the remains, the ring, if she was wearing it, could easily be in the area. Animals are fascinated by small shiny metal objects. My cat routinely snatches my earrings and takes them to one of her hiding places. When you add in seasonal changes and various weather conditions, the ring could be under several inches of dirt or stuck in the crevice of a rock or anywhere in a large area.
I'm curious as to why the cops are so focused on this ring.
I think the ring was taken by the biker dude, because he perceived it to be of value or, more likely, Condit told him about it, that Chandra would be wearing that ring, and he (Condit) wanted it as "proof" that the deed was carried out.
So, to sum it all up, I say the pinky ring is either with Condit, to be disposed of at a garbage can near Luray, VA......NOT,........ or in Haiti, with the biker dude. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it....do I win????
"May 22, 2001 Chandra Levy's remains were found on a wooded hillside in Rock Creek Park by a man walking his dog..."
"The body was identified from dental records. Investigation at the scene produced Chandra's ring bearing the initials "CL". [Emphasis mine.]
The Chandra Levy Chronology (Rev. #9)
They found a ring bearing CL initials.
During the struggle she might have managed to grab him. If he had a watch or bracelet on his left hand and had his left hand around her neck, in the struggle she might have cut his pinky with a bracelet or watch band that he wore.
Put your left or right hand on your own neck like you would strangle yourself. Notice that your pinky is forward and easiest to grab while your other fingers are close to the neck.
So, possibly the clue in registered picture has nothing to do with Chandra's ring but the ring he wore on his pinky was used to cover a scar ?
Just a wild thought
No ring...
Registered, you are correct. In case you missed my flag to you on the other thread I will post here also.
Last night I was watching John Walsh's, Most Wanted, he was describing the ring while showing the video of Chandra taken in April 2001. (her Birthday?) The one where she is wearing a lavender top. As he was describing the ring I was looking at her pinky fingers and saw nothing. All of a sudden they zoomed in on the ring and it was on her right hand ring finger.
Most of us here on this thread believed the media and said there was no way Chandra's pinky ring could fit Condit's pinky finger. But Chandra's right hand, ring finger, ring, could fit.
I am beginning to think the media is psyching Condit out. Go to the Modesto Bee for yesterday. They are talking about Chandra's pinky ring, but the odd thing is of all the pictures of Condit they put up they chose the one of Condit wearing a pinky ring. (although you can't see it very well in the picture they used.)
