In a word, yes.

There are stories of various oil reservoirs replenishing themselves from unknown sources and that lend credence to the theory that 'oil' is left over planet making stuff.

IF these observations and theories are correct then 'oil' should be equally plentiful on Mars. That's another good reason to go there.

No wonder there was no news from the press conference we have been waiting for since 22 May.

This was supposed to be the day this whole mission to Mars busted out in a big way.

Well, guess what. It broke anyway, and NASA is out of the loop. Fire O'Keefe.

Why fire O'Keefe? There was never going to be any announcement about a Mars mission this week. That was just a rumor spread by clueless reporters (probably at the BBC).

But he knows, as you apparently don't, that vision is useless if you can't manage a program competently, and demonstrate it to the people who provide the funding.
