Thank you to all - Kayak thank you - and all of you! Each word and each prayer is deeply appreciated.
Yes, there is great power in prayer.
If anybody knows anything encouraging anywhere about ALS, let me know that, too, please. Right now, Johnny's sister says there just is nothing out there - no hope. What is so devastating is that this disease (from the pit of hell) affects the muscles but the mind is not affected. It will get to the point where Johnny cannot talk or swallow (both are already affected) and eventually cannot breathe on his own - but his mind will be clear. I know this is "of the enemy" ...... but how does one give hope in this time of darkness for the loved ones and for the one who is suffering.....words just fail me.

The only thing that comes to mind is the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and how His peace that passes all understanding is the only hope. My fervent prayer is that through this horrid and evil disease, he will come to know the Lord. While that alone will not remove the disease...or it may depending on the will of God...it *will* offer hope and eternal life. <><
