Another FBI Agent Blows the Whistle on 9-11

FBI Special Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. will hold a news conference Thursday in Washington to reveal FBI negligence and obstruction of counterterrorism investigations targeting Hamas and al-Qaeda.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, said its co-counsel David Schippers would join Wright at the press conference.

"Special Agent Wright, of the FBI's Chicago Division, is the only agent in the history of the FBI to have used the civil forfeiture laws to seize over $1.4 million dollars in Hamas terrorist money in connection with a criminal investigation of terrorist money laundering operations here in the United States," Judicial Watch said.

Minneapolis FBI agent Coleen Rowley has corroborated Wright's experiences dealing with FBI headquarters and senior management, "who consistently delayed, down-played and soft-peddled the investigative efforts of counterterrorism agents in the field," the organization said.

GWB should have cleaned house at the FBI, INS, CIA, etc., when he first took office. Instead, many of the top officials are the same-o's from the Clinton administration.

Maybe it will take these whistleblowers to embarrass enough of the Washington crowd (Congress and Administration) to get the mess cleaned up.

The problems don't seem to be at the field levels, but rather with the top levels (where the PC concerns are greatest). It isn't much different than the initial problem Rumsfeld had with the Defense Department--when Omar was in the crosshairs and the JAG in Tampa wobbled, letting him get away.

I speak in general terms, not necessarily exclusively of this particular issue. As for the proof being in the pudding, They didn't catch the anthrax, nor have they caught the purveyor of said pathogen.

So show me the names of all those who have been arrested tried and convicted of conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism in the last 6 mos. A secret you say? Did it ever cross your mind that the secret number might be ZERO?
