IT'S still far too early to know how the 2004 field for the Democratic nomination is shaping up, but the lessons of the 2000 primary season would seem to tilt the field to a moderate, like Joe Lieberman or John Edwards, and away from Albert Gore Jr.

I agree with you. John Edwards a moderate? I could understand Lieberman, but Edwards is VERY liberal. I also think that Morris has not taken into account how much money Kerry actually has and I think that his deep pockets will keep him competitive in states that a person with no money like Edwards will lose.

There aren't any Liberal Democrats, they're all moderates. Just ask them. And the media will tell you they're middle of the road, ask Brian Williams, who said that of both algore and Bill Bradley.

The dems and the gop are holding their conventions during the same week in 2004. We will see a unanimous nomination of GWB by the GOP as well as the dems.
