Ozone is created in the atmosphere thru a chemical reaction that requires sunlight. During the Antartic winter, there's little sunlight, therefore the ozone hole expands. During the Antartic summer, the ozone builds up and the "hole" is reduced.

Kermit, that's a dead on the money ... BINGO!

The Ozone Hole won't mend itself, because it isn't broken. It's been there ever since the Earth tilted 23 degrees on its axis.

Ever notice how all of these geniuses haven't figured out that with the sun shining lower on the horizon in the polar regions, the overhead ozone isn't as important anyway?

So, where's our Nobel Prize?

I thought the hole was getting bigger and lasting longer. Granted I only bothered to read your post. Lazy of me I admit.

The science doesn't matter. It never did. Gore, Hillary, etc. will continue to lie about things -- with the cooperation of the media -- and hope to ride to power on the votes of a deliberately dumbed-down population. Antarctica never made any difference.

Gee, if ALL these scientists in the world could get off the ghost far* problems
and work on REAL problems, maybe they could achieve something worthwhile?
