This pretty much jives with other reports on the current "Not Ready for Prime Time" status of biometrics systems.

Isn't this the same system recently touted by the media and government as having been installed at the Statue of Liberty?
How is it that a system that has shown itself to be a failure is being adopted by a federal agency for security?
Maybe "feel good" public relations?
All show and no substance?
That would jibe with most of the "security measures" taken so far by the feds.

Eyeglasses gave the system a great deal of difficulty, in spite of copious Visionics marketing hype denying this particular glitch. I don't know why I know this....but when I first read about this system I had a mental image of the recognition software being distorted by bottlecap eyeware.
