Ew! Ew! Ew! Usama wearing women's clothes and make-up making kissy noises is just plain gross.

"..."They were more terrifying than the al-Qaeda."

If the Afghans formed squads of gays, they would be formidable. What could be more terrifying than an bunch of unarmed, naked gays charging at you yelling make love, not war?

The best argument yet for gays in the military. Not in the Islamic countries of course. But...on the other hand...

Maybe we should send in the Navy to take care of them.

Yeah, they can take them up on the poop shoot, er deck.

"In the navy, you can sail the seven seas. In the Navy, you can put your mind at ease."

This is probably how the opppsing forces hid from the soviets, too. Pretending to be gay. But when the scouots are gone it is back to planning their next warlord raid.

But when the scouts are gone, it's back to business, planning their next raid.

...if the marines are intimidated by a bunch of queers, things are a lot worse than I thought.

"It's a specific, very fundamentalist movement in Christianity..."

Where did you read this?
It sounds as if you know what you're talking about, but obviously you are just repeating something you read from...?

"...fundamentalist movement in Christianity that wants to replace our current code of law with Biblical law...They were probably watching the Afghan public execution videos going "Oooh, I wish were in a position to do that to the gays/fornicators/blasphemers/etc."

What are you, like 12?

I read that it is said of Kandhar: "When the birds fly over Kandahar, they take their wing and cover their rear ends".

Type "Christian Reconstructionism" into your favorite search engine and be surprised. Google gives 2,850 hits.

If this is true, these people were probably in the closet fearing for their lives during the Taliban era. Christian Reconstructionists and the Taliban have a lot in common on this subject. 7 posted on 5/28/02 6:59 AM Pacific by Quila

What Christian Reconstructionists?

Rushdoony? Dead.
Bahnsen? Dead.
Chilton? Dead.
North? Discredited in the Y2K fiasco.

Sandlin openly advocates Libertarianism. Miller openly advocates Libertarianism. Bahnsen Junior openly advocates Libertarianism. There aren't any "Christian Reconstructionists" left. The entire "Old Guard" is dead (or discredited) and the remnants of the Movement are being wholly conquered by Libertarianism.

Find a new enemy. Christian Reconstructionism is extinct. We're all Libertarians now.

You really don't know about these people, do you? Their U.S.A would be just like Taliban's Afghanistan, just replace "Muslim" with "Christian" and "Shari'a" with "Mosaic Law." We could even bring back slavery!

You have the quote wrong. It's "...when a bird flies over an English Public School."

I am shocked that British Squaddies, pure as the driven snow, are exposed to this sort of thing while on an operation.

OBTW, don't eat the melons.

Rushdoony? Dead.

The Chalcedon Foundation lives on.

Bahnsen? Dead.

The Southern California Center for Christian Studies too.

Chilton? Dead.

Didn't know about him dying.

North? Discredited in the Y2K fiasco.

Discredited religous leaders only get stronger. It is a common occurrance in cults that when wild predictions made don't come true, the cult's fanatacism actually grows stronger. If discredited predictions could ruin a religious group, then the Jehova's Witnesses would have disbanded long ago.

The Chalcedon Foundation lives on.

Which is 100% fine by me. See, the surviving trustees (Sandlin, et al) are all Libertarians. These days, half the Chalcedon website is cribbed directly from Miller's staunchly-Libertarian "RazorMouth.com".

Chalcedon lives on, but it's Political Theonomy today would be practically unrecognizable to R.J. Rushdoony.... Libertarians have wholly occupied all his Reconstructionist strongholds.

Railing against "Christian Reconstructionism" is quite literally akin to kicking a dead horse. There aren't any Christian Reconstructionists left. We're all Libertarians now.

Good grief, man, you clearly don't know about "these people". Sheesh, you did not even realize that Chilton was dead.
Some "expert" on Reconstructionism!! (roflol)

What are you, like 12? Do your homework so you won't look so silly.

It's a specific, very fundamentalist movement in Christianity that wants to replace our current code of law with Biblical law, and all prohibitions and punishments that go with it.

Oh, quit the Christian bashing. You're talking about a small bunch of wackjobs. Come to think of it, don't the Jehovah's Witnesses talk about theocratic government?

The Scotsman, the rag that did the hit piece on the deceased Pim Fortuyn, has come up with another gay article. Somehow I don't believe this, or at most, it is a great exageration.

The world is full of faux-Christians. They can be just as benighted and misguided as the Islamic extremists--and have been at times in the past (Inquisition, witch trials, etc.). Such people may think they are following and worshipping Jesus Christ, but they are definitely not.

What's even funnier... he's talking about a small group of theologians who are all dead. Rushdoony, Bahnsen, Chilton... all dead. Practically the entire "Christian Reconstructionist" movement -- their thinktanks, their publications, everything -- has since been overrun by Christian Libertarians.
