Women may be responsible for the intelligence of the human race because they consistently pick brain over brawn when choosing a mate.
A study by German geneticists supports the controversial theory that women approach brains as a sexual ornament - much like a lion's mane or a peacock's tail - according to a report published in New Scientist magazine.
The theory that women are responsible for intelligence is not new. Darwin came up with the idea that sexual selection influences evolution, and US researchers suggested 30 years ago that intelligence genes were concentrated on the X chromosome.
The X chromosome is what distinguishes men from women. It is present in both sexes but women have two X chromosomes while men have one X and one Y.
The fact that men have only one copy of every gene on the X chromosome influences whether particular genetic traits - such as intelligence - are expressed.

This in turn affects whether certain traits drift out of the gene pool or are passed on through sexual selection.
The Germans looked at genes that caused mental disability when mutated, arguing that in their normal state, these genes would contribute to intelligence.
Using a catalogue of genes and genetic disorders, the team found X contained 21 per cent of the mental retardation genes.
An Australian sex chromosome expert, Jennifer Marshall Graves, of the Australian National University in Canberra, said the study was significant.
"They have demonstrated that the preponderance of mental retardation genes on the X chromosome is real," she told New Scientist.

Your post was great! The only other thing you might want to mention is don't complain about women who are looking for "security". If you're not man enough to realize that women have babies and they both NEED security, chase after someone in the NOW gang. :)

To me there's a big difference between those who inherited their wealth and those who are self-made. Some of the dumbest people I've ever met are rich but only because someone gave them all their money.
Wow, my sentiments exactly...but the truth of the matter is that most, if not all of those stupid male atheletes came up short in the "able to have a realtionship", commitment, and "able to be sociable and not just just talk about themselves" catagories. Thus, they've been through multiple marriages and have not been very happy throughout their life. So I guess I was jealous for nothing. :)
It depends on the jock. I know a couple who are dumb as bricks, but have been happily married for years. And their wives still worship them. (It helps that they were dumb as bricks, too.)
There have always been women who will go to bed with anyone and everyone. I worked with a girl like that in Houston. She'd go out to bars and get drunk and go home with some guy she wouldn't know. She did that alot. She wasn't proud of it either. She is now very old for her age and still goes to the bars and takes guys home. Needless to say she hasn't had a real boyfriend in quite a while as guys aren't too crazy about those types. I feel sorry for her though; she's a real bad alcoholic.
So for a woman to brag about sleeping around is like someone bragging that they have AIDS.
Isn't it written somewhere that insanity is trying the same thing again and expecting a different result? (smile) I'm celibate and intend to stay that way, because of the rejections and lack of interest. I was sick and tired of getting shot down, or worse used as a wallet, for nothing.

Though most stats on homosexuality have been " cooked ", those available , have always shown more male homosexuals than lesbians. This also decreases the male to female ratio in the marriage pool of heterosexuals.
Now, as to the social strata and marriage ... men DO marry up, more often than women do . The fictionalized and ballyhooed " GOLD DIGGER " , is mostly a thing of the past. It wasn't all that " usual " to begin with. For decades, men have been able to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, and therefore, been more able to mix / interact with a higher class level than women have . Most people marry within their own social class/ strata ; however , through statistical and anecdotal knowledge,as well as my own observations, I can state, with certainty, that yes, more women " marry down " than do men.
You've no doubt missed this, since men don't usually pay all that much attention to who marries whom, read wedding announcements in newspapers, and if you aren't a part of the upper middle / upper class, then you don't " get it " at all, dear. : - )

When someone keeps talking about how people " settle ", when they marry, is just a childish, arrogant, and supercillious position. Do some people " settle ", because they desperately want to be married ? Of course. Most people do NOT " settle " though. They honestly think that their choice is just great. If that isn't the case, they really shouldn't marry the other person !
Love isn't the same thing as lust nor infatuation. Love doesn't blind people to the faults each have. It allows one to live with another's faults, which others might not care to live with.
