OH, it was wonderful! Seeing our daughter's name with summa cum laude under it, knowing that she has received a fabulous education, and is ready to face the world........well, the graduate school world, anyway......was incredible. And you know what? I hardly cried at all! For me that's real progress!

The weekend finished with a worship service for the graduates and parents, and with communion being served to the graduates. It was extremely moving and meaningful.

We got back at 2:00 in the morning (Minnesota's a long way from here) after hauling back both daughter and son's things (and them too, of course!). Now we have 2 weeks as a complete family before son #2 leaves for boot camp..........I'm going to savor every single moment.

Oh, yeah, and son #1, majoring in International Relations and Political Science told us on the way home that he is seriously considering applying for a job in the CIA when he graduates! Wild, huh?

Yay! You must be so proud of your children. Hope you have lots of family togetherness the next two weeks.

Welcome back! I too am majoring in political science and was wondering what made your son want to study politics. My inspiration came the day that I saw President Bush take office. I'm sure your son and I could swap stories of political science professors! Maybe he could stop by the Dose sometime!

Congrats on your daughter; great job. And as for your #1 son, well the CIA can use some good people right now! I hope he goes for it!!
