ET... I really don't buy into the 4am scream thing. DC is a bad city and people are mugged all the time, plus people are out at night all the time having fun, yelling and playing. I live in the boonies down a very long country road, outside a small town of 8,000 the teenagers ride this road at night and scream bloody murder as they drive down it at night. You would swear someone was killing them, but no dead bodies have pop up around here or no kidnappings. Usually they are out drinking and driving, smashing mailboxes and tipping cows over while the cows sleep. I grew up in St. Louis and as a kid we did stupid things, like scream at the tops of our lungs as if someone was killing us... just to terrorize people. The police checked into the 4am scream and found nothing right after it happened. They know it was her on the computer from 9am to 1pm that day, due to her regular surfing habits. She visited many of her daily websites and some that she normally had not visited in the past. Like the Basket & Robbins Ice Cream website was regular site that she visited, she printed out coupons all the time and also they were going to have a free ice cream day soon or just had one.

I had heard reports that her apartment was virtually clean of fingerprints, even hers.

How hard would it be for someone else to bring up the 'history' and 'surf' based on that?

It's quite possible that someone may have needed reassurance that she hadn't sent any emails mentioning his name, discussing things about him, or their activities, or even a hard drive diary of sorts.

Just because the computer was on and being used, doesn't mean is had to be her.

While big cities have lots of crimes, we have to remember the blanket found on the floor by the door. Why? Do you drop your blanket by the door before leaving the house? The apartment was supposedly CLEAN, why leave a blanket on the floor by the door? This suggests either a very late night/early morning visit, and or a hurried vacating of the premises, either willfully or not. And then there are the screams..... it is just as possible that the two are connected as it could be that the screams belonged to someone else, but to have the blanket, the screams outside, and the dogs losing her scent at the curb 'could' all fit!
