I also researched this story last night, this guy was sitting in jail when Levy came up missing. He was went on trial during the first 10 days of May 2001 and was found guilty. It is funny how the MSNBC article did not mention that this guy was caught and was sitting in jail when Levy came up missing. It should have never been put in the Levy report they did as it simply means nothing to the Levy case except the fact that other murders have taken place in the park. It just goes to show you that these reporters are not checking into the facts the write.

This is something tha I hope the Levy attorney's know!

I don't thin John's statement is accurate.

He was AWAITING trial (for breaking and entering), and had not yet been tried, when he attacked the first of his known victims. He was out on bond.

If he was incarcerated on May 1, that would settle that. But I read that he was not known to be incarcerated on the date that Levy disappeared.

I was right, John Jamison's info is not accurate.

He was awaiting trial for breaking and entering when he attacked the first of his known victims.

He was out on bond. He was not in jail on May 1.

The date of the breaking and entering offense was 5-7-01.

The smokinggun.com has copies of the arrest warrant, and also his guilty plea to the two assaults on the trail off of broad branch road. click here to see the documents

NBC4 has this tidbit "At his sentencing, one of the victims said, 'When my attacker dragged me into the ravine, holding a knife to my throat and covering my mouth, I thought, and still think today, that he was going to rape me or try to kill me. I was terrorized by the knowledge that my life could have ended violently in a ravine in Rock Creek Park.'"

I think that's what happened to Chandra, and that Ingmar killed her.

And lest anyone think he was after someone's stereo on the B&E charge, I suggest you read the arrest report here.

I think Condit knew where she was, I think he met her that day, but put his own wish to avoid scandal and suspicion over her life.
