May 26, 2002 -- Investigators believe Chandra Levy was lured to her death by someone she knew or slain by a predator who methodically stalked her, police sources said yesterday.
Evidence collected at the spot where her remains were found points away from her being killed in a random attack while she was jogging, the sources said.

I heard somebody saying today that they found her 3 footballs field BELOW the only access path/trail.
In that case she walked or was forced to walk there
Nobody is going to carry a body that far in that terrain unless there are 2 or more people helping

Washington police are incompetent. Had they searched the area with dogs long ago they would have found her and had much more to work with.
Not to mention insensitive. Why did the Levys have to find out about this for the first time by hearing it on the news like everyone else?

Lastly a 22 yr.old "pregnant intern" would be a career ending fling for sure. Not to mention the 18 yrs of child support and enduring paybacks for the scorn !!! THAT'S A REAL MOTIVE
I believe the theory you provided 100%, as much as I hate to jump on the gossip bandwagon. What was the "big news" she was going to tell her aunt right before she died?

You know with her surfing sites of Paris, France... maybe he told her he was going to take her to Paris and had the tickets, but needed to get them out of the apartment since the wife was there, Maybe he called her up and said I'd liked to see you, I'll be free for a couple hours after my visit with the VP, why don't you meet me at the park in jogging clothes, so if we are seen together in the park... it will look like I just happen to run into while you were out jogging in the park. Besides I want to give you these tickets for our trip to Paris for safe and secure keeping while the wife is in town (knowing that she also may be visiting his office while she was in town, of course there were not any tickets... but this could have been his "make up" story since they fought and also the lure to get her to the park in jogging style clothes, so that it would look like she was attacked while jogging, maybe he asked her to bring the walkman also in case they were spotted together, then she could just pop the walkman on her head and jog off looking like any other jogger in the park.) Once she gets to the park they go for a walk on the trail where it is private and maybe he pretended to want to have a little quickie deep the woods and then he killed her by hitting her in the head with rock or bashing her head on a large rock.
We have to remember he had many women in his life on the side and he was very weary of being seen and I am sure he knew how to get around with these women without truly being noticed, in otherwords he had many tricks up his sleeve and probably taught her how to play along if they where ever seen together. If she would have showed up in professional clothes and seen together, then the "well she jogging in the park and we ran into each other" story would not have worked or finding a person in the park in professional clothing dead in secluded area of the park would have loked strange also. He planned this murder, there is no doubt in my mind that he didn't. This guy was so scared of his kinky habits and affairs coming out and she turned into a real threat with him, maybe he trusted her more than the other in the beginning, but he could not keep her in control like he could with the other women. Or she was pregnant and he knew it.

Sorry for all my typo's in my post #45, but I think you can weed through them.
I think the guy is real time bomb (remember the Chung interview?) and somehow Chandra set the final timer on the bomb and it went off on her.

It took them a year to figure this out?

Those busy little worker "bees" should really be sweating by now.
Especially the one who drove Condit to dump the watch box evidence. For all we know, this same Assistant picked Chandra up at her apartment to take her to meet with Gary in the park.
Did the LE do a complete search of his car for trace evidence?
And, concerning Carolyn Condit, did she ever attend the wives club function at the White House she used for an excuse to go to D.C? This would be in perfect timing after her phone call to Gary's apartment when Chandra answered his phone. Let's not forget, Carolyn was not a social butterfly.

Tuesday, May 1 Condit rides with staff to the office in the morning. At 12:30 p.m. ET, he meets with Vice President Dick Cheney. He returns at 3:30 p.m. for meetings and phone conversations with constituents. At 5 p.m., Condit has a doctor's appointment. At 6:30 p.m., he votes on the House floor. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., he meets with a reporter at the Tryst restaurant in Adams Morgan. Later, he and the wife stay home and eat dinner.<< "Meetings and phone calls with constituents"? HmmmmmWhat was his alibi for this time period..? Just curious. Didnt think he would be stupid enough to get his hands dirty.

it was a rule that when she was to meet Condit, no id, no credit cards, no cellphone. This was his rule with AMS and Chandra and probably every woman he messed around with. This would give me a big incentive not to have anything to do with the creep. What is it with these women?

The computer showed she had researched Klingle Mansion in Rock Creek Park. Heard that comment too about the body being found three football field lengths from the jogging trail.
The media will introduce tons of disinformation to protect their demonrat friend.

That's what I don't understand. She had the Klingle Mansion on her computer and investigators knew it and she was eventually found a mile away. If the cops thought she might be going to the mansion, why didn't they use dogs? They used dogs for other areas. Maybe they got the "message" not to use dogs in that area.

I don't believe one was given or disclosed...by him or the police. They know who killed her, they just have to find the forensic evidence and the hole in his story or somebody knows something and they also will come clean and plea bargin with the police so charges are not taken against them. This guy is not the political head he once was, no reason to protect him anymore, someone will talk or they know something that just does not pan out with Scary Gary story. What scares the hell out of me is this guy is such a worm, that he would kill himself before he let cops get too close to him.

"She's a big girl." She was NOT a "big girl". She was 5' 1" and slender.
To: mewzilla
And if she was going out with someone other than Condidit, unless she was expecting to meet him later, why did she leave her cell phone? if she paged condit 24 times in 48 hours, she likely would want the cell phone in case he called her back. unless she was going to meet him.

These keystone cops still haven't classified this as a homicide...What a bunch of idiots, they couldn't find their arses in a freakin snowstorm....No excuse for the investigative blunders in this case...you don't send out trainees, to find a missing person...What a joke!
Charles Ramsey and the rest of the phony baloney cops should be fired....they are an embarrassment!

"At 12:30 p.m. ET, he meets with Vice President Dick Cheney. He returns at 3:30 p.m. for meetings..."
According to the V.P.'s office, the meeting was over shortly before 1:00. There has never been a satisfactory explanation for Condit's whearabouts between 1:00 and 3:30 as far as we know. Furthermore, Condit's people appear to be continuing to imply that the meeting actually lasted till 3:30 which is ridiculous. Cheney simply would not have met with a Congressman for 3 hours. He doesn't begin to have that kind of time. I knew that was a crock even before the Veep's office "corrected" Condit's version of the meeting time.
