Yep. Also, after the second debate, which GW clearly won, I confess I tuned in to CNN, just to see how the left would deal with such a resounding defeat...and caught the tail and of a live broadcast from some left-wing college campus, starring a Pompous A$$ professor lecturing his students about "how even though Bush won the debate, he LOST the debate".
My head was beginning to reel after only about 6 minutes...I doubt that college kids stand much of a CHANGE after 1 1/2 to 3 hours of that crap.
interesting you should say this. i just visited my old college, The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. it is/was maybe the most liberal of liberal colleges on the west coast. i went to a party there on thursday night while on vacation. room full of dreadlock hippies and a women with buzz-cuts and tatoos. i'm thinking "geeze if i start talking about conservative politics here they're gonna throw those huge joints at me"
well i was totally surprised, when ALL of them (sans one) including the post-punk feminists, actually were very receptive to what i was saying, and even agreed with me on the parts about government getting to be too big on the spending and all that. it was a totally different crowd than when i went there 10 years ago; i would dare call them moderately conservative. i think there are a few loud yappy liberals left, but i think for the most part the college now generation is more conservative than the "gen-x" bunch.
