Let's see... I can eat a totally bland diet devoid of all flavour and live an extra couple of years as a grizzley old shriveled prune in an old folks home on government assistance, or.... I can partake of all that God has given us on this earth, indulging in the tastes and flavours that we were meant to enjoy & possibly have a coronary a few years before I hit the feebled stage of life. Why in the world would I want to omit the pleasures we've been given so that I can spend a few extra years as a drooling incontinent old geezer?

I am in Houston, and guess where we sometimes hold the monthly meetings of our local (H.A.T.) Freerepublic chapter.Star Pizza. I think I will have one today. Double meat,double cheese. These idiots have increased pizza sales, because anyone reading these most likely will have a pizza for lunch.

The dangers liberals fear most for our kids: 1) not having homosexual sex; 2) not having one or more abortions; 3) the Pledge of Allegiance; 4) prayer; 5) pizza. Finally, our kids are safe.

I remember seeing this report when it originally aired on tv some weeks ago. The people behind it (CSPI) were a bunch of wild-eyed fanatics declaring with religious fervor about the evils of pizza. But this was not the newsworthy part. The REAL story is that a left wing advocacy group can take it's worldview, repackage it in a junk-science wrapper, tell us they're acting 'in the public interest', and get it aired uncritically in the mainstream media.
