Ping. Of all the ways they could "help" very few people, give the illegals directional beacons? The Mexican govt. is sticking it in our face. Creating lit beacons to call away their people so they can avoid solving their own problems.

I've noticed they've framed the whole immigration issue on the "dehydrated" people, invoking the charity and caring of their cause. Like they gave a damn for decades. Probably some American P.R. firm gave them a public face lift.

"The Mexican govt. is sticking it in our face."

And they will continue until we get serious and bombard the Critters continuously about this issue. We must insist that those who HIRE illegals be severely punished...no slap on the wrists. It's obvious that the powerful lobbies want this cheap labor, but they're not only doing us out of our jobs, but costing us a fortune in taxpayer funded services. Enough is enough. Funny how so many Reps bellow when money is spent helping citizens in any way, but they stay silent about the taxpayer subsidizing of their cheap labor.

I demand to know if the water used in these towers is some of the water that they owe us but can't repay. Or, are they going to have to mooch water from us to fill the towers? [/sarcasm]

If Mexico cared anything at all about these people, if President Fox had an ounce of sincerity, they'd use that money instead to get irrigation water to these people's farms, get started on changing conditions in Mexico, changing laws etc to help them to stay in their own country.
