To those of you who hate Bob Villa: I got used to him, I don't know much about renovation, and I don't like the new guy. So it's been 10 years. Sue me. Pbbbbt! 617 posted on 5/22/02 1:17 PM Pacific by Miss Marple

Bob Villa has as much business talking construction as Bill Clinton has teaching Legal Ethics class....I don't hate him, I just watch in total disbelief the things he doesn't know. He fits perfectly hawking the lastest Wonder Wrench by Sears.

bodies are located in Rock Creek park fairly routinely. Really? I've lived in DC area half my life and don't think its "routine" to find buried bodies in RCP. ----------------- Maybe bodies aren't discovered there routinely but it has been the scene of many a murder through the years, including cyclists and joggers and I've been here in DC and area since 1969 and have a good memory. So the poster was not far wrong.

Condit is whining and crying in a corner some place about now, cowering, worrying, sweating bullets.

I hope so...even if he didn't do this to Chandra, he's a massive creep.

She was the one who said through her lawyer, colorful Jim Robinson, that Condit had at least one sexual fantasy "that a normal heterosexual man does not have." ... Well, what the hell does that mean? More than a few thousand people wondered. Especially here in San Fantasco, where our idea of even plain old vanilla ice cream is something whipped, flecked, piercingly cold and called "French."
Well, the caprice that Condit wanted to realize with Anne Marie is still supposed to be a big secret. But here's the skinny: What Condit wanted was to have sex with the lady while he'd be in full Folsom St. leather get-up -- chaps, chest harness and various other buckles and bows. And he wanted an audience, all male, a kind of penis gallery. ... That struck her as being not quite on the het menu. ... Make of it what you will. ...

I was debating whether I should just send private mail, but I am too lazy to keep doing that. :)

You know about the summer of Condit..I spent the whole summer thinking way too much of him. I photoshopped him in funny underwear, his wife in tshirts form Luray, and participated in long freeper threads about the latest new developments.. THe story was starting to wind down a bit.

I woke up in the morning of 9-11 from a dream so odd and intense I had to poke the DH and make him listen to it. I've had "funny" dreams before and they all have the same sort of feeling-tone. The prickles were up on my neck.

"I had this dream...Gary Condit got shot by a terrorist!" In the dream he was surrounded by a bunch of reporters with microphone, and this guy, a terrorist (that's how my dream-mid identifies him) comes up and shoots him right in the head.

The terrorist is named, and I hear it in my dream, only it is all echoey, like it is being spoken underwater. or like lou gerhig giving his "luckiest man" speech. I have to work hard to make it out.

"Tahhhhm....Tahhhhm...Tomma." Tomma (ok got that) Tomma jo bada (what?) Tomma *lefty* (Oh, I get it) Tomma Joe Biden.

Condit's been shot by a terrorist named tomma joe Biden.

Then I wake up, as soon as I've made out the name as well as I am gonna. I poke DH and tell him. The radio pops on and I go to the bathroom, when I come back DH says that a plane has hit the WTC. I hardly give it a second thought. I am such a great psychic I think it is some little JFK jr cessna - importatn but nothing really horrible. I am half-sure the BIG news of the day is that Gary Condit bites the big one.

We snap off the radio and get dressed and I am such a REALLY great psychic that during breakfast (its such a fine day)we plan a spur-of-the-moment daytrip to DC. DH goes run a quick errand, the phone rings and its him on the cell telling me the other tower has been struck and to turn on the TV.

And I do, and I am in shock. It hits me, this is Osama bin Laden, (and Gary Condit might as well be dead for all I care about him anymore)

Chandra had dropped off the doppler screen for me for quite a while. But this morning I was remembering that dream, and I was disturbed at myself for being so morbid, 'cause her corpse kept flashing in my minds eye.

It would be a good idea to confirm that with someone who knows proper etiquette for Jewish funerals.

Usually, one makes a charitable donation or pays to plant a tree in Israel in the deceased's name.
