While I fully support the schools right to do business with whomever they please, I do wonder if it is in the best interest of the kid. The mother may well be a lost cause, but is the kid?

It's important not to confuse the mission of Capital Christian Church with that of its Christian school. It is quite clear the church is a place for the "saint" and "sinner" alike it is an institution that opens its doors wide for all seeking truth or comfort. But as with most religious schools, the educational branch of the church is designed for the children of families who have already accepted and embraced the core religious beliefs. this mother has not accepted the core beliefs of this school. short of removing the child from this mother's custody, what can the school do to counteract the daily influence of a mother, who lives a life at variance with what is taught there daily? the responsibility for inculcating this child with values is that of the MOTHER, not this school. The school is willing to do it, in PARTNERSHIP with the mother, but cannot do so in direct contradiction to what the mother is teaching at home, by her example. Were instilling values in her child this mother's primary goal, she would work in partnership with the school to accomplish that, not take up employment that makes a mockery of what is taught there.

Get a grip. Forcing the Mother to give up gainful employment to prevent her daughters suspension reeks of the same stiff necked arrogance, that led the headmaster to strip the valedictoryu privlege for a haircut deemed ...Too Short.
Had they simply refused her back, next year, this would be a non issue.

The mother chose her path and her child will have to live with the choice. Hopefully, one day, she will wake up.

She doesn't have to give up gainful employment. She has to quit stripping if she wants her child to attend a Christian school. She can work at almost any job.

While I agree with much of what you said, the mother did in fact sign her child up at a Christian school. It would seem she did want something different for her child other than the way she lives.

I thought she was a stripper, not a Criminal Defense Attorney...

but how far is she willing to go to provide something different? not far enough to quit and find legitimate employment of which her child can be proud rather than ashamed? who has more of an influence over our children, our schools or ourselves, by example?

I side with the school being that they are a private organization and can accept and reject applicants as they see fit and remove those who they decide need to be removed.
But with less than a month left in the school year they should have let the girl finish the year and then informed the mother that her daughter would not be accepted back next year unless she changed employment.
That, in my opinion, is the best option that was both in the interest of the girl and provided ample time for the mother to seek new employment before the next school year started.

It would appear the mother did try to have her daughter go down a different path by signing her up to a Christian school in the first place. That was a positive step for the child. What could be better for the child than associating with other Christians (besides the obvious regarding the mother)?
I don't claim to know many of the facts of this story but on the surface of it, I would bend over backwards to try to keep the kid in a positive Christian environment in spite of the mother. It does sound like the school has made an effort on this front as well. I just feel bad for the kid

but what is actually happening, from what i understand, is that the mom is taking a hiatus from stripping to allow her child to finish out the school year and the school is gladly keeping her on. the MOTHER is the one that has the problem, believing she should be allowed to strip and have her kid go there.

Forcing the Mother to give up gainful employment SS. The school is not forcing her to do anything other than trying to get her to live up to the agreement she signed!
She knew her stripping would not be approved of.
She chose to do it "incognito".
She chose to put her childs education in jeopardy.
And her being a former sunday school teacher at the church that has the school, she knew her actions would conflict with this agreement!
