Some Republicans have tried to use the left-wing attack tactics against the left-wing...and the left-wing simply countered by accusing the right of mean-spirititedness and devisiveness (or however they spell it).
Anyhow, it's been done, and the right always loses when they try to play the left's game. The right just isn't as evil and hateful as the left.
