A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/17/02

President Bush went on the defensive against Democratic claims he knew about the September 11th bombings and did nothing to prevent them. In a ceremony to honor the Air Force football team, Bush hinted of partisan politics and second guessing, saying, "You know, what's interesting about Washington, it's a town -- unfortunately, it's the kind of place where second-guessing has become second-nature." As the rhetoric has died down as news that leading Congressional Democrats also knew of the pre 9-11 briefings, focus has now shifted to the Clinton Administration and the several security briefings they received in the days following the missle attack on Osama's headquarters.
Later in the day, the President encouraged strengthening Medicare and choice coverage options. Bush also met with Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

There you are! I was on the look out for you, lady jane. :o)
I've spent a bit over on the thread about the stripper mom and the Christian school that dismissed her daughter. She's blaming the school even after they offered to pay for tuition and find her a decent job. grrrrrrrrrrr...and some FReepers over there just don't get it. I'll be quiet now.

We must never forget that the media will do everything in it's power to destroy this president, even if it means destroying the country Yes they will and how sad is that

Feinstein is an idiot. Why in the world would she only have foreboding during W's first months in office? She should have had a lot of foreboding during Clintoon's term and not just about terrorists. Did she ever raise these issues with that administration.. come on Senator, what did you know, and when did you know it. Please, get lost.

One is a dear friend whose father is a local party leader. He has even said he will never vote for a national democrat again. The national party has been taken over by corrupt (possibly mob)people.
Another was a farmer, his two sons and their wives; they all took "R" ballots in the primary for the fist times. He's in his eighties. He no longer wants to be associated with WJC and his immoral behavior. Pointed out that the R got rid of Nixon for just a small thing. And yes that lying and sexual behavior do matter.
Another, is a friend who even worked for a local retired democratic congressman. She's now trying to elect an "R" Seems Baron Hill is too liberal for her tastes and she doesn't like the fact that he's gotten money from Hittlery

Exactly! I've been saying this since the story 'broke' to the 'clueless' Dems. This has DNC and McAwful written all over it.

I find this face as comforting as our president's.
I spent today at the Andrews Air Force Base air show. Although I was blown away by the technology and power, it was our military men and women I met and their sense of duty and responsibility, kindness, and humor that touched me the most.
Security was really tight. I mentioned it to one of the guys in charge. He said with loads of compassion, "I'm doing it for you." I could have thrown my arms around him and kissed him cuz I know some day he may be risking his life in battle and his answer would still be the same, "I'm doing it for you."
I don't ever think I will see a community of people I will ever respect more. God bless our military people and keep them safe.
p.s. How's the peeper?

Don't forget that Bill Clinton appointed Terry McAuliffe against the wishes of his own party, and McAuliffe was there for all of the FBI document scandals, and you can beleive that whoever gave Hillary and Bill those files from the FBI are still there. Maybe just maybe Bill Clinton is a little upset about the unwanted invitation to East Timor this weekend, I know his staff were pissed. Would not surprise me a bit .. this was a gutter stunt if I ever saw one ..
I as a citizen of the United States want an investigation done on Congress ..
I also can't help but notice the one thing they have been complaining about is they want more information of what is going in the war on terror ..
Bush did give them information and what did they do .. LEAKED it to the papers that is what
I also want to know WHO leaked that memo to CBS
American Lives are in danger and all they give a hoot about is the Democrats getting power back

Oops. I read my post to your comment on Diane Feinstein, and it looks like I told you to get lost. I meant Di Fi, :-)

We have to believe that the many prayers that have gone up on behalf of this country and the President has given him everything the President needs right now to fight and to win.
Thanks for posting the suggestions of what we can do.

I certainly hope the President saw this picture so that he could see how absolutely gorgeous his wife looked today!
My goodness, she's a beautiful woman!

It is amazing that people are *still* changing parties because of Bill Clinton! Ha! As much as I gag when I see him on TV, maybe we should hope he keeps reminding everybody what a corrupt, immoral buffoon he is. It's particularly fascinating that the switchers included farmers and the elderly.

He barely won his race in 1998 anyway. It's easier to run a national race than try to explain liberal votes to NC voters I heard that .. also heard he spent some pretty big bucks also
And concidering his back ground as a lawyer I am thinking that boy has alot of things hidding in his closet .. I'm thinking that infomation needs to be shared with the public

Thanks, rintense.
These beautiful pictures reinforce what a wonderful leader we have in President George W. Bush...and our gratitude for a gracious American First Lady.
Rintense, thanks again f

I saw the first part of the press briefing yesterday. Some reporter, don't know who, asked Ari some stupid question
and Ari said that the morning security briefing to the President was usually given by someone from
the FBI, CIA, NSA, Justice and a few others I can't remember. And this brilliant reporter exclaimed in a horrified
voice, "Do you mean all those people know about all that before the President does?"
And after Ari gave him a look he said, "Those are the people who gather the information to give to the President."
It was priceless.

Oh, I saw that. Hayworth was great. It was when Greta started talking that I had to bail.
