I didn't see the article in question, nor what people said... but I can't believe you of all people would let some single-issued automatons manipulate you off the forum. Stick around and fight, if you can't stay the course someone on an 'anonymous' forum, how can you ever expect to develop the steel you need to take ideological ground in person? If the one thread was absorbing all of your time battling with the people who are fixated on a certain thing and who won't be convinced one way or another, move on to other threads on other subjects for a while. Sometimes you will run into people who aren't interested in reasoned debate but who will simply try to eat up as much of your time as possible by getting into a battle of 'who shall have the last word' with you. Don't fall for it. Those threads will be around for a while and you can always go back to them weeks from now. By that time, there's a good chance the person who you were arguing with will have self-destructed.
If you think these people are annoying, try dealing with the numbskulls the owner of Freerepublic has to deal with...

First off, the article DID demonize Pim. So what, there were plenty of people on that thread who said the article was BS.
Secondly... yes, some people did say some bad things about Homosexuals. So what, as a Conservative in MAss, I am hated far more and called a lot worse then anything that some said about Homosexuals on the thread.
Thirdly, all I did was post some insane essay about the difference between European and American Politics.
As for Knighthawk, good bye and thinks for the poem. Perhaps I have thick skin but I cant see what was THAT bad about the thread(Which I contributed very little to becuase I was pinged).
