Where did you hear that? That's big news. No buffets for me anytime soon. (Although I never eat in buffets anyway--it grosses me out to think of other people touching food that I am going to eat.)

Sounds like a horror movie. If it is cynide it is powerful and fast acting poison and they DO turn green and foam at the mouth. They just repeated what they looked like when they were brought in the hospital. I live about a mile or 2 from there towards Tuckahoe.

Once was a haven for Italian, Polish and Irish families escaping the Bronx. And also Horace Vandergelder and Dolly Levi.

Two people on respirators. A woman in her 20's is fighting for her life. The other person is in her 60's. What a horror. EMS and hospital workers were getting sick and thats why they quarantined the hospital. Finally they lifted it about 10:00.

Guess the news media are too busy trying to make hay of what Bush knew prior to 9/11 to care about the possibility of another terrorist attack in progress. Second that
Its being reported on NY NBC that people are sick and that it may be a result of cyanide, but no connection being made with Mexico truck hi-jacking. They do refer to Egyptian nationals in the affected apartment.
Checked on many of the news sites listed on Drudge and there is a complete lack of information of any kind. Ditto fo Yahoo.

Never trust a trucker who offers to deliver the day before.

Sounds pretty suspicious. Am thinking this was a case where the cyanide was put in food.

It still sounds weird -- if it's not airborne, as the Mayor said, how could EMS and hospital workers get sick? Hysteria?

ABC NYC ( channel 7) just said some of the people involved just returned from Egypt recently.
Take it for what its worth...

Way back in high school, one of my hobbies was collecting insects. At that time a common way to dispatch them after they were caught (without damaging them) was to put them into a "killing jar". We used carbon-tet (i.e. carbon tetrachloride). It worked very well. BTW, I got an A++ on my insect collection for Biology :-).

BTW, Nina Pineda was the reporter for all you NY'ers out there...

Yes just as the anthrax attacks were not related to terrorism either.
