raised the specter of a new, devastating terror attack on the United States

We keep hearing the possibility of something more massive coming. Do they (the government) know something? The government needs to get rid of the PC attitudes, quit pandering, and show that they are cracking down on potential terrorists.

Dear Terrorists (and their friends),

We believe you may be planning a new attack on us. If we don't find you and kill you first, please note that another attack will be immediately followed by the nuking of Mecca, Medina, Ryadh, Baghdad, Teheran, Damascus, Cairo, Tripoli, Kabul and probably a few more cities.

Have a nice day!

Uncle Sam

I worry because I live in a city that counts, although I don't worry as much as I would if I lived in NYC or DC (apologies to folks living there).

I would worry very much if I lived in Northern Africa, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Egypt or the Gulf Arab States. Because these regions are going to get turned inside out if the US takes another body blow. If the attack is worse, our sons will take control of the air and ground in these places and wage total continuous war until treaties are signed which insure subjugation and economic capitulation.

I believe this is exactly the kind of confrontation the Al Qaeda desire. It is up to the powerful people in these regions to clamp down and exterminate the religious hatred being taught before it is too late and the Al Qaeda achieve their goal.

I think the threat of attacks has always been out there ... long, long before September 11th. The public gets restless when Tom Ridge issues terror alerts which aren't specific but most threats are not specific. Then when non-specific alerts (in hindsight) point to September 11th, the media says "Why didn't you warn us". They want it both ways.
