bush (gop) was briefed before-hand.... house (dnc) were breifed before-hand..... So, I guess both sides saw the threat, did nothing Both sides were briefed on a general threat of potential hijackings. And you would have liked them to do what? Ground all aircraft? LOL.
I bet you also have been one of the ones screaming when Sec. Ridge puts out one of those vague colored alerts, too.

If the RATS insist on playing this game, let's dig up the photo of Clinton apologists Markie Post and Susan Thomases jumping up and down on the Lincoln bed. That one will remind the American people of these scheming liars aka Democrats.

This one reminds me of the DEMS who were claiming they didn't know anything about the 'secret location' after 9/11 when they had been taken there!

Yah, the dims are going to get as much political mileage as they can on this.
Election cycles are a hoot sometimes and the only way the dims can fight this president is to somehow make him look in ineffective.
My crack about Drudge is to somehow convince Drudgies that their guru is a phoney new age liberal! There! I said it!

Why did Louis Freeh leave just a few weeks before 9-11 happened? Why is this guy getting a pass. Exactly ...The man hated computers and one of the reasons the FBI was unable to correlate and dissiminate information.

I don't see where this falls in W's lap, frankly.
As Boyden Gray (former counsel to x41) was just saying on MSNBC, this war between the CIA and the FBI is one of the great turf wars ever, and the press needs to be helping the President with this struggle between those 2 agencies, both of which fell down on the job over 9-11.
Instead all the press does is carp and rag on W. Gray says they need to jump on this bandwagon and help the President investigate this, instead of doing what they're doing.

Help me out on this cause, I`m confused, Which is worst,GWB "exploiting 9/11" or GWB`s inability to read Bin-Laudin`s mind ? It`s spin, folks, spin, spin, spin.

The dems are hopeless. The demorats are soul-less.
CBS "broke" this story the day after they got flack for airing part of a torture-murder tape (not enough to reveal the atrocity that these fanatics repeatedly commit). This "news" story deflected some of the attention from CBS.
We're in the ratings sweeps period folks and CBS is in the crapper.
With the Enron, 9/11, and other trial balloons going up, expect some more election eve "surprises" (akin to the drunk driving legal folders that were "discovered").
And yet there are those that persist that there is no BIAS. Don't forget about this week's tales that McDermett and judge Cudahy leaked information to the press (in one instance, the right was blamed for leaking information when AP knew all along that wasn't the case).

The public tires quickly of hearings (especially those that don't get around the clock coverage and that drag on for years).
In those instances, the accusation is made, the press runs with it for 2 weeks, and then the public takes it as fact.
When was the last time that you saw a retraction or apology as the lead off story on the nightly news? Did they spend 2 weeks on that to make sure that all their viewers caught the update?

Reposters today don't have sense enough to formulate a followup question when the answer isn't what they expect.

***Even better, it is possible the WH itself leaked this to goad the democrats into "using 9/11" as an election issue immediately following the almost universally accepted 'desparate' political attack over the photo (which I ordered yesterday from the RNCC :) ).***
Interesting thought, Max. I'll go further and say that the Repubs might have leaked it to avoid the liberals bringing it up two days before the election this fall.
