There's no information in the SacBee story about where the rumors got started. However, I would like to point out that according to the information we have, no one from the school or any of the other parents went to the strip club itself. I do wonder what pictures they have on their Web site, though...
Silvas, who is single, said school administrators telephoned her last week and told her that in response to persistent rumors, a parent went to the strip club's Web site, downloaded pictures of Silvas and brought them to school staff. Silvas told them she does dance at the all-nude bar, which doesn't serve alcohol, and subsequently met with Cole.
As a middle aged grandma, I can't believe I did this, but I went to their web site. I didn't find a pic of Christina Silvas, but DID find this...
"All of the photos on this site have been copyrighted from day 1. For all of you who have taken from this site, we hope you have a good lawyer."
Err...this does not bode well for the unnamed concerned "parent" who downloaded images and took them to the staff for THEIR...err...perusal.
I STILL think the school should have simply barred the daughter from entry next yesr, rather than kicking the little tyke out of school. Then again, not too many people seem too worried about the EFFECTS of this incident on THE AFFECTED five year-old. Just the moral implications of the mother's sin. It's really sad when people forget about the kids.
I went to the site yesterday, and after a, ahem, search of the site I couldn't find Christina's pictures. Perhaps she strips under a different name? Anyway, I didn't want to paw through the whole site---it offers pix of probably 20/30 girls.Soooooooooo, unless the website's already taken down her pix, Ms. Silvas strips under a different name. To know that name, I presume you'd have had to been in a place to overhear it. Perhaps Gold Coast Centerfolds? Hmmm?
