You and I are right, they're all wrong. Stiff necked hypocrites I say.

Whaddya say we go to Hooters and get some lunch before this crowd tries to close that down too.

You'd think they'd be falling all over themselves trying to set a good example with her child, which she was paying to educate - and their offer to waive the last months tuition doesn't exactly replace an income.

If they were the evil hypocritical illegitimo you seem to want to believe they are, they wouldn't have made the offer in the first place. They have no responsibility to either educate her child just because she hands them tuition in neatly folded bills or find her a decent line of work to keep her same standard of living. It's a sleazy, tawdry profession she chose, which she knew -- unless, of course, she is a complete idiot -- that she had to keep secret to avoid just this kind of situation.

Well, let's see; Airline pilot, physician, investment counselor, attorney... the list is very long. Who says you have to settle with a degenerate, abasing, low-life job, or else give up all the good things in life? Work hard, get an education, struggle for a few years, sacrifice, and get ahead. Worked for me.

i am not going to sit here and entertain absurdities. if you can't see that a religious school has a right to request a certain moral code of conduct from the families that attend, i can't help you. Those who are NOT INTERESTED in moral/religious education need not attend. NO ONE HAS A GUN TO THEIR HEAD to go there!

The part of stripping that really appeals is that it's only for a few hours at night- you have all the rest of your time to spend with your child, rather than having to put the child in daycare from 6am to 6pm.

Not a dodge at all Kev. There is a Huge difference between Nude Dancing and Porn. One entails a young woman dancing naked, the other, well, this board is basically G-Rated, so you can let your own fertile mind fill in the blanks.

Suffice it to say, that while I wouldn't have wanted to bring a Porn Actress home to meet Mom (potentially too many diseases), I'd have absolutely no issue with a Nude Dancer.

Simply being a Nude Dancer does not by Default make the Lady a Slut, a Whore, or a Porn "Actress". Let's face it, in Today's economy, even if you have a good job skill set, it can be difficult to support a Family. Try being a Single Mother, with a limited job skill set, but a great Body. Would she really be better off doing a 40 hour week slinging Burgers, for minimum wage, OR doing a 20 hour week making a considerable amount more money for simply Dancing Naked?

Quite Frankly, with the amount of Strip Clubs in this Country, and the vast number of women who perform in them, my guess is you've probably run across more than one who put herself through College doing it. And considering your viewpoints, can you say it's surprising that they wouldn't have mentioned it to you?

And what's the crime in doing it? So far, the only thing I can see that this Lady did wrong was letting these Fundi Web Surfers push her around. They aren't accusing her of Hosing down the customers, just taking off her clothes. So What?

Have you ever been in a Strip Club? Ever put a dollar up on the Bar? (Don't Lie now, that's a Sin too, remember)

so those that want to support their child and educate him via stripping are free to send them to a public school or a NONRELIGIOUS private school of their choosing.

Did the child of the Father who saw this Lady in the Strip Club get thrown out too?

Do you know that's how they found out, or are you just making things up?

Among the children there'd be talk, and rumors, and jokes and giggles, and that's not somthing a Christian school should have to deal with. Besides, SHE SIGNED A CONTRACT, PEOPLE!!!!!!!

if you signed an agreement when you enrolled the child to not carry a gun or vote Republican, they have every right to expel your child.

I wasn't defendeing her profession. Another poster implied that it was the school's responsibility to replace her lost income. I was suggesting that it would be unlikely to be able to match her "salary" for time worked.

They did offer to provide her help (the nature of this help may have included some job offers).

there is NEVER going to be a meeting of the minds here between those that think that stripping is a perfectly legitimate wholesome godly career choice and those that think that CHURCH SCHOOLS should be entitled to dictate the RULES of their own school.

I went the nonreligeous private school route.

I don't have a problem with the private school's having their own rules, honestly. It does seem to me that the mother is trying, though, and cares about her daughter to have placed her in a christian environment.

Of course, the kids always pay, and why should good christians be any different?
