Republicans Use September 11 Artifact for Fundraising

Washington, D.C. — Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe has issued the following statement: "For the Congressional Republicans to sell an historical photograph of President Bush talking to Vice President Cheney on September 11 is nothing short of grotesque. We know it's the Republicans' strategy to use the war for political gain, but I would hope that even the most cynical partisan operative would have cowered at the notion of exploiting the September 11 tragedy in this way. White House photographs are meant to create, present and document a real time historical record. This potentially illegal misuse of a White House photograph is incredibly disrespectful to the families of the thousands of Americans who lost their lives just hours before this photo was taken. I call upon the White House to cease and desist from any further political use of this photograph."

Anybody know for sure?

The photo was GIVEN by the White House, free, no charge, to Reuters. They sold it to another company who sold it to the Republicans. What's the big deal? The DemocRATs are desparate, very desparate.

It is a little tacky. I guess it's just a personal thing - I don't like it when anyone cashes in on 9/11.

The dem comment is a little over the top, but it appears now that the glass houses on both sides of the aisle have all of the windows knocked out.

A little thing. The picture was in public domain. The WhiteHouse had given it out to the pool. The Republican Committee purchased it on a website. So.........the dims are getting dimmer here. "Repeat: It's a little thing.

Let's see his response to the following phrases:

Lincoln Bedroom
People's Liberation Army money
Buddhist temple
Dialing for Dollars

Not only that, he should be more tolerant of our desire to trumpet the outstanding was a REPUBLICAN president has handled the worst attack on America in history. Tell me, Terry, do you really think that one of your so-called progressives could be one percent as good as Bush was?

So let me get this straight:

Gotchya. I am becoming a really great Democrat. The cognitive dissonence is tough, but when I hit this joint really hard, it's easier to deal with.
