Omar is buddy of the ISI chief who is a buddy of Musharraf. This Western style trial in an Islamic sharia-country is a sham, and intended for Western consumption.
Their confessions were not admissible for technical reasons. This same country recently stoned a woman to death for adultery and another who lodged complaint of rape was supposed to have committed adultery because there weren't the required minimum number of witnesses to the rape!
