I guess they want to ignore the farmers, ignore our infrastructure, ignore our terible education system, ignore our the corruption in our election system, Hell stop paying taxes all together, and vote Libertarian, we might look like Cuba in 4 years but at least POT will be legal

So you're a Conservative who favors increases in Farm spending, Education spending, revamping the election system according to a Democrat agenda, and raise taxes. Congrats. You're the Conservative of the Future.

And if you think Cuba represents ANYTHING libertarian, then I'd suggest you understand what the LP is about before making inane statements like that.

Reagan wasn't a conservative either. He signed the farm bills, he signed the big spending bills, he appointed Sandry Day O'Conner (pro abortion)to supreme court, he signed steel tariffs. Why? He did it to get his priorities through because the House and Senate were controlled by democrats. He signed the big bills which would include his priorities of upgrading the military and tax cuts (sound familiar?). With the Senate controlled by democrats, President Bush is following the Reagan model. Why didn't Reagan use his political capital. He was good buddies with Tip O'Neil and Tip was no conservative. I'm doing as Rush would in being absurd to make a point. Reagan was one of our greatest Presidents, he was a conservative, and he knew how to win over the American people. President Bush is trying to get Republican majorities in both houses to eliminate a lot of this other nonsense.
