Agree with you about the poll and concluded the same thing as you did. Voted the same way too. Either way, it's pretty clear how Americans who took part in this poll are thinking.

I agree. The GOP is NEVER going to win the minority vote, because of the reputation the Dems and media have pinned on them of being unsympathetic of minority needs. The GOP is no more unsympathetic then the Dems, of course, and in many ways more so, but reality means little.

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for posting our poll.
Also, there was nothing planned to "split" some of the responses. We just tried to cover the major camps on this issue to see where people stand.
As of this posting, there have been 743 votes on the poll. We'll soon update our code so that total votes are displayed. GOPUSA runs its polls from Sunday until the following Saturday morning and we post our results in the Monday issue of the GOPUSA Eagle (our e-mail magazine). So, this means we have plenty of days left on this poll.
Hopefully, the results will send a wake-up call as to how conservatives really feel on this issue.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your poll.
Here's a decent plan, to implement these poll results, that was articulated by one of our more outspoken opponents of illegal immigration. They Will Deport Themselves.
As a suggestion for another question, for a future poll, it might be of interest to the GOP to know how many Americans would like to see the laws against hiring illegal aliens, that are currently on the books, enforced.

And this is where the pubbies are making a big mistake by placing all their eggs in the immigration basket. They think that pandering to the HispanicsOne reason that Hispanics along the border vote for Democrats as they think Republicans don't care about jobs or job security ---and Bush is making it look worse because here people think cheap labor benefits the corporations --not the working.
