Who ever thought up the name "Love Child"? That is a terribly incorrect description. Most of the time these people are a "Lust Child" or "Drunken Monkey Sex Child". I bet this term came out of the 1960's sexual revolution where people tried to explain away their bad behavior in a classic example of "defining deviancy down".

You're right, "love" does not seem to have had anything to do with Clinton's multiple affairs and/or bastard children, or with his marriage, for that matter. His only true love has been Little Willie.

It's an old term. For instance, at an old German Lutheran Church in Ontario, a bastard was called "Liebeskind" or love-child. It sounds better than bastard. Another term used was "born out of wedlock." Remember when men were expected to take care of their children and marry the mother? I still do.
