A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/9/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 05/09/2002 6:51:43 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush began his day by honoring Milton Friedman for lifetime achievements. Later in the day, the President spoke to reporters regarding the judicial crisis in Washington, and once again urged the Senate to act. Bush also said that he is pleased that the economy is showing signs of growing, but is concerned that it is not growing fast enough. The White House also released a statement that it was pleased that the S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has unanimously affirmed the administration's position that Peter Kirsanow is a member of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: These nominees have been given well-qualified or qualified ratings. Yes, I think it's raw politics and I think it's bad for the country.

YIKES! I hope Saddam and Yasser see this photo. He's got that, 'Don't mess with Texas' look. LOL.

Boy, talk about motivation to get out and vote in the 2002 elections! What the democrats are doing to judicial nominations is criminal.

You're right, it's criminal. The DEMS and their party have bent over for the PAW, NOW, and a slew of other leftist alphabet soup gangs - and they even brought their own Vaseline. (Sorry to be so crass, but I'm mad as hell over this issue.)

Great pics, rintense!

I think, in his wardrobe choice for today, (since SuziQ and I are the Official Whitehouse Fashion Consultants and we look for signs like this) that he's stressed about the world situations. I'm glad he had a few moments of fun with Senator Stevens from Alaska. I'm sure he needed it.

God Bless you, George, and all the decisions you need to make.

Thanks again RWP!

Hi Rintense, I slept through the Dose last night !!!! Lots of catching up to do. I hope the voters will get on the war path about the obstructionist dimoRATS in November. We could sure do without the likes of Dashole and Leahy for a while. Great pictures. Thanks for all your hard work.

Sen Leahy was trying to compare his stalling actions to the Senate back in 1937 when that body wouldn't let FDR stack the Supreme Court with 6 additional judges. I can't believe he thinks anyone would see Bush wanting a hearing and vote on his nominees as being the same thing as adding 6 more judges. The uninformed (dems) will most likely fall for Leahy's lies.

"President Bush began his day by honoring Milton Friedman for lifetime achievements"

At the end of Brit Hume's show, there is a great quote from this ceremony from Friedman. If you didn't see it, catch the re-run!

I agree. Leahy's comment trying to compare our objecting to their obstructionism from their making a religious test for public office to Democrat FDR's attempt to pack the Court is only viable because 57% of high school seniors don't have even basic (minimal) knowledge about history.

They can lie and get away with it because their followers don't know the difference.
