Condi Rice Invited Bill Clinton to Head East Timor Delegation
ABC News Morning Political Insider Tip Sheet 'The Note' ^ | May 9, 2002 | Elizabeth Winter and Mark Halperin

Posted on 05/09/2002 8:35:04 AM PDT by codebreaker

And here we were thinking that the Bush Administration's reaching out to President Clinton and offering him a role in the big East Timor delegation could be a long awaited reapproachment between the Clintons and the Bushes.

Ever since USA Today ace reporter Bill Nichols broke the story of the appointment earlier this week, things have kind of slid downhill.

The Clintonistas haven't liked all framing the backgound quotes that have described the reasons for the assignment, and one former Clinton aide has now gone so far as to tell 'The Note' in a huff exactly what they haven't liked.

'The (Administration's) use of the word accommodate. They are not accommodating us. Clinton did not want to go to East Timor. He was invited by Condi Rice. Once he was able to move his schedule around, he accepted her invitation to HEAD the delegation. And all this happened in March.'

'They should really stop their lies and stop being cute about this and just stand up for once and do the right thing.' (ed.-!)

Their unhappiness, they say, is on the staff level.

And Clinton, they say, had already been invited by Kofi Annan to be part of the UN delegation.

Maybe they'll have a coup while he's there and he'll have to spend 50 years in a moldy, stinky prison? Now THAT is something to dream for...

I thought it was hilarious from day one.

You and all the other move-on'ers. Try and convince me that they are investigating ANY of the crimes that Bill and his minions committed. Go ahead ... TRY.

As I said on another thread about this, I see nothing humorous in this. All this does is put Clinton closer to where he and the democRATS got millions of illegal dollars in campaign contributions the last several elections. All it does it provide a means for Clinton and his staff to bring more millions into the country without having to go through customs. All it does is give Clinton a security clearance so that he can SELL more US secrets to the highest bidder. All it does is lend an aura of respect to a man who in all probability RAPED several women and who in all probability saw to it that a Secretary of Commerce was MURDERED (ironically, to keep him from spilling the beans about all the illegal money that democRATS got from this part of the world). This place isn't as out of the way as you seem to think.

Bush and the GOP are going to rue the day they became like the democRATS and let the democRATS get away with so many crimes ... election tampering, blackmailing Republicans and Congress, selling US secrets and restricted technology, bribery, abusing the IRS and FBI, abusing the military, corrupting our court system, murder and mass murder.

Spin. Spin. Spin.

Will Clinton and his staff get security clearances that give them access to US secrets?

In this position, can Clinton move material through US Customs without them being inspected?

Can you assure me that Clinton won't be meeting with Riady and his friends to get more ILLEGAL campaign contributions ON MY DIME?

Can you tell me what the total cost of sending him and his Secret Service entourage will be?

Can you provide a SINGLE indication that the Bush administration is taking serious ANY of the crimes committed by the democRATS the last 9 years?

Or is this the final sign that the Bush administration is indeed "moving on" and will IGNORE crimes as serious as election tampering, blackmail of Republicans, murder and mass murder? Because if that is true, how are Republicans any different than democRATS? If they are willing to ignore crimes that their political opponents commit because it seems politically expedient, then why do you believe they won't commit and cover up the same crimes if they think that will help them remain in power a little longer? Where in the Constitution or any body of laws that we obey does it say the President can ignore laws just because he and his party deem it politically advantageous?

Or are you people going to just keep on clapping your hands for Bush regardless of what he does, just like all those democRAT sycophants did for Clinton when he and his gang were in power? Show me how you differ from them.

You know, I am not going to argue with you. Save yourself some effort and post to someone else.

Now HOW did you do that?? (BTW, thanks!)

I used the "img src" HTML formula, but all I got was that little box that wouldn't work when I clicked on it. Is there any other way to paste it directly?

Go ahead and ignore me. The point in directing my post to you is to point out TO OTHERS that you and your move-on friends are in fact no different then the democRATS you claim to despise. Just like democRATS you'll spin ANY action by Bush as a "good thing" ... even if it means ignoring that Clinton is a RAPIST and MURDERER. The hypocrisy of you people is becoming more and more evident every day.

Take an aspirin, or try a gin and tonic. You are missing the delicious humor that Condi and Company have delivered.

Why don't you first try answering the questions I asked? Maybe then you can convince me of the humor in having our country and the Bush administration represented by someone who is most likely a SERIAL RAPIST and WORSE. If you can't answer the questions, then how exactly are you any different than the NOW-bots that supported Clinton even after hearing Broaddrick's story? I'm sure they saw the "humor" in that too.

See? You are now no different than the rest of us Bush-bots. You have been cast into the outer darkness. Sorry...I tried to warn you, but I was too late.

Of course, we here in the outer circle at least have senses of humor. But that isn't IMPORTANT, you see.

Coming from one whose vapidity has been evident from Day One...it's not saying much.
